Castle By The Sea - Dana Point

At the southern terminus of Pacific Coast Highway midway between Los Angeles and San Diego. A few miles South of Laguna Beach and 3 miles from Historic Mission San Juan Capistrano. My place is close to the beach with great views, restaurants and dining, parks, arts and culture, dana point harbor, many resorts and golf. You’ll love my place because of the location, the view, the peace and quiet and comfort. My place is good for couples, business travelers, and families (with older children).

Great Location and Host

We have family in Dana Point and stay in the area often. Love this location even without a vehicle. At most, a 10-15 minute walk to the beach, harbor, grocery store, restaurants and the Farmer's Market (on Saturdays). The house was great and had everything we needed including ample parking. Would definitely recommend and book in the future.

Annual Stay in Dana Point

For the past four years, we have chosen Cary's home in Dana Point for our business team accommodations. Cary has consistently been an exceptional host, and we anticipate booking with him again in the future. 10/10 stay.

Interesting house. Lots of stairs though.

It was a nice house, though the shower window in the master needs a curtain. Some of the doors don't stay latched. Better lighting needed in bathrooms. Whoever cleans needs to do a better job sweeping under the couch. I was thrilled to see lots of books and DVDs to choose from. I would stay there again though. It was well worth it. Host was very nice.

Baseball trip

Beautiful Home with Everything You Need!

Cary was an incredible host! The Castle by the Sea was such an incredible place to stay. The nautical touches made this stay even more enjoyable. Our group spent time cooking and the kitchen was very well equiped. The living room couch was such a comfy place to hang out! We really enjoyed the balconies for a quiet way to enjoy the mornings. You can really see all of the thought that went into this lovely home, and I know you will love your stay! We sure did! Cary was great to work with! 10/10 would recommend!

AMAZING HOME

We came to town for a wedding and Disneyland! This home was so beautifully kept it was comfortable. It was spacious. It had every single thing that we needed. We loved the decor and the feel of home. We definitely recommend this beautiful home to anyone! The owner was so helpful and kind. A family consensus said that their favorite thing about Was the intercom that went throughout the house. They used it frequently and it was a great source Greatof humor. 😂 Please don’t hesitate to rent this home…you won’t be sorry! We will come back so day for sure!

Great for weekend away

It’s winter which is one the best times to visit the area. Fewer crowds. Everyone is happy. And the castle house was perfect. Close to Laguna. Lovely house and wonderful for family time eating dinner in, playing games and watching movies. Highly recommend.

History buff in Dana Point

Lovely home with a wonderful collection of books, maps, and framed documents for the history buff. Spacious and clean, comfortable and convenient. We were in Dana Point for a wedding, but we could easily have stayed at Castle by the Sea for a week or two.

Great stay!

Cary was a very good host, making sure we had what we needed and the home was ready. Our stay was flawless, the home is comfortable, a great location, clean and well taken care of. Walking distance to a great Hawaiian pancake house that was perfect for breakfast, especially if you are hungry before heading to the beach.

Amazing vacation rental in a terrific location

We had such a fun and comfortable stay in Cary's home. It is in a lovely neighborhood and an easy walk to Doheny State Beach. Spacious and comfortable overall, and the kitchen was very well stocked. Comfortable beds. Great communication by Cary. Everything you would want and I definitely recommend it.
