Peaceful Serenity
Beautiful serene place to reconnect with family and nature! We loved the amenities and remoteness of the Big Horn Lodge! Room for all of us to be together as well as have privacy. We braved some of the local ATV and hiking trails around Custer. Loved the fire pit and patio areas to congregate. We thoroughly enjoyed our week here-was a wonderful escape to focus on fun, food, faith, and family!

Custer State Park Area
This property was exactly as the pictures and description said it would be and even better! Secluded, peaceful and beautiful! Our weather was perfect as well! We hiked, biked, explored, played games and just had a great time on this family vacation. We cooked at home and could eat out on the deck or patio to enjoy the outdoors even more. I thank the owners for sharing their place with their guests and hope to return in the future!

A True Getaway
While being only 7 miles from Custer. It is a true getaway with only the sounds of nature. It's also a very nice place with 2 family rooms. Wonderful decor matching the atmosphere of the region. Super clean too.

Exceeds all expectations
Wow- what can I say about Big Horn Lodge? This was our first family trip (that included our now adult children) since 2015. I could not have asked for a more amazing and perfect place for our family. As incredible as the pictures are, it’s even more impressive in person. The house is beautiful, spotless, and had everything we could have possibly needed. The owners were so responsive and helpful when we had a question. The location… wow- the location. It’s so serene and private. Sitting on the deck, drinking coffee and listening to the pronghorns was surreal. This was our first trip out west so I wanted a central location so we could do day trips to many locations. This was perfect! We went to Devils Tower, Mt. Rushmore, Needles Hwy, Spearfish Canyon, Badlands, Wall Drug and so much more. My husband and son fished Stockade Lake and me and my daughter visited Reptile Gardens. We loved the Wildlife Loop and did it several times since it was so close. Being at Custer State Park made the exploring easy and convenient. I realize this is quite a long review, but I want others to know how perfect this property is. We stay at many mountain cabins and this was by far the nicest. With our children getting older, this time together was priceless. I’m so thankful for the memories all brought about by Big Horn Lodge.
