Cozy Cayman Beach Front Cottage - Emerald Sea House , 2 Bdrm 2 bath
This cozy cottage is styled in classic Cayman architecture and located as far away from the glitz, crowds and night life of the 7-mile beach area as you can get on Grand Cayman. This newly listed/renovated get-a-way cottage contains 2 bedrooms (both with king size beds) and private bathrooms. Each independently air conditioned bedroom has a full view of the ocean. Imagine waking up and watching the sun rise from your bed! The great room also has two expansive views of the ocean where you can sit and watch the ocean landscape or read one the more than 50 books available (mostly spy and suspense novels). The fully equipped kitchen can handle anything you would like to dish out and includes a full size refrigerator, stove, oven and microwave. A cooler is provided for trips to the grocery store or for bringing your fresh catch home. There are outdoor surveillance cameras. A charcoal grill is also available if grilling your fresh catch is your style.
This is an ocean front property, not an ocean or marina view. Even on the hottest days, the northeasterly breeze will keep you cool. The snorkeling is excellent right in your backyard. Whenever the mood strikes, head out to your own snorkel heaven. Lots of reef fish, conch, lobster, crabs and coral formations (stag horn and brain coral) are yours to explore. On a calm day, if you go beyond the barrier reef, you could encounter just about anything.
Rental includes the use of two single seat kayaks, four lounge chairs, outdoor tables, life jackets, charcoal grill, and Wifi.
From this location, it is a short drive to Rum Point or Kaibo Yacht Club were you can enjoy a selection of very unique dining experiences (i.e., bare feet in the sand to fine dining) or charter a boat for fishing, diving or a visit to Sting Ray City. If conditions permit, experiencing bioluminescence bay by kayak is a must do. Rum Point is newly renovated and has a great bar, beach, food, dive shop, and jet ski rentals. A small convenience store is open 7 days a week about 10 min east of house. While in Grand Cayman, you have to get in the water at least once with the sting rays at Sting Ray City. Sting Ray City at sunrise is magical! If your interested in scuba diving, the best diving in Grand Cayman is with Ocean Frontiers (my opinion) just 30 minutes down the road on the East end.

We had an amazing time at The Emerald Seahouse. We stayed for a week and didn’t want to leave. Decorated with the island vibe throughout. Everything was perfect. Plenty of towels and amenities. Very clean. The breeze and view were one of the best on the island. Quiet and relaxing. Sunrises were beautiful. Definitely would book again.
Perfect location! Beautiful house. Very clean, the beds were extremely comfortable, and the kitchen was fully stocked with anything you might need to use. Beach towels were soft and plush, Garage was stocked with chairs, etc..

Glad you had a good time! Thanks for choosing to stay with us again.
Words cannot really describe how great this place is, we were able to walk out to the ocean and swim and snorkel everyday which was awesome. The home is very comfortable for 2 couples, we had everything we needed to enjoy our time there. We experienced all kinds of weather and the sound of the waves was amazing. Seen all kinds of fish, kayaked on calm smooth ocean, coffee on our patio, just amazing.
Perfect house for those who prefer solitude, but still within an easy drive to restaurants, etc. The house is very well appointed - nice linens, dishware, kitchen appliances, and even art. Fantastic views from every angle. Also a bonus that beach chairs, loungers & kayaks are provided. There were just 2 of us, but it would be perfect for 2 couples. Loved everything about it!
We had an amazing stay at this lovely beachfront house. The house is tastefully decorated and was clean. The beds were really comfortable and great views of beach from both bedrooms. This house is perfect for two couples and I love how the bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms were set up the same. The location was perfect for us and close to so many places like Rum Point, Starfish Beach and nearby grocery store. House was stocked with all that we needed. There was only one working paddle for the two kayaks. After a quick call a couple more paddles were left at the property in the following days. We had a great 10 days at this location. We would definitively stay here again!
The house was lovely and as described in the listing. We loved the porch and the views. We used the kitchen to prepare meals daily, but did wish for one more frying pan. It was great to have access to beach chairs and a cooler as we used those to visit beaches all over the island. And while the beach immediately in front of the house and on either side was quite nice, once you reached those property lines it was hard to walk any further due to all of the washed up trash and debris. Since we had a car, we spent a lot of our time just up the road at Rum Point where we saw turtles and rays daily during our snorkeling adventures. Lovely property and good value for the area!
The Emerald Beach House is perfect for two couples to stay. Two king master suites- all with ocean view. Love the layout and decor of the house, especially with the encircling veranda. Truly a tropical retreat. The sound of the waves and the trade winds will lull you to dreamland.
Awesome mostly private beach front area. Very beautiful house, which was surprisingly well appointed with artwork and decor. Stocked with all sorts of kitchen gadgets, kayaks, lawn chairs and a charcoal grill that made the stay very easy and comfortable. Property management team was very responsive and quickly dealt with a plumbing hiccup. Instructions were very clear. Hope to come back one day again soon!

Glad you liked it. Thanks for contacting the property manager so that it was not an inconvenience. Hope to see you back in the future!
We love your house, it is beautiful. It was perfect for two couples. The view is perfect paradise and quiet. The beds were great and the Guy Harvey artwork around the house is fantastic. The book library is also amazing.
- The pots and pans are inadequate, only two "small" skillets and two "large" pots (stew/chili size).
- Don't pay the cleaning service! They could not have been there after the last group left.

Sorry to hear about the cleaning. I will definitely look into it.
We loved the house, really set up well. Big bedrooms and bath. Great Wifi - loved the wrap around porch. the kitchen had everything and more. It needs outdoor table and chairs. Two chairs isn't enough for 4 people. There are a few cute restaurants in the area which is nice. Beautiful Starfish beach is close and the best/better that the house beach. The beach was a mess and needed to be cleaned and cleared of trash and seaweed. We had to do that, rake the beach to clear a path and 3 bags of washed up trash. 2 Kayaks, one missing a paddle- which they bought 3 days later / then paddle that was originally there broke because it was corroded. Lastly the equipment in the garage - life jackets were covered in black mold. Would not use the snorkeling equipment either which is in the garage.
Best place I've ever stayed. Immaculate! Had everything you could ever need. So many little details they thought of. It was so quiet and peaceful. We loved kayaking and snorkeling out the back door (saw octopus, shark, lobster, stingray, barracuda, lots of fish!) and spent plenty of time on that back porch drinking up that view. Would book this place again in a heartbeat! So nice to be away from the hustle and bustle of seven mile beach and really have a slow paced relaxed island getaway. Still plenty to do close by. Enjoyed a drift snorkel from Caiman Kai to Rum Point, the crystal caves, stingray city, the botanical gardens, barefoot beach, starfish point, collier's beach, Big Tree Bbq! Exactly what we were hoping for! Many thanks for sharing your paradise!

Thanks for choosing our place and glad to hear you had a great time.
The house is a definite ****. It would be a 5 if there was an outside table and chairs for eating outside.
The beach/ocean area is disappointing. Trash from the ocean washes up with the seaweed. We found a rake in the garage and attempted to rake the seaweed to make a smooth transition into the ocean. However, what we raked was also filled with trash. Apparently this is a problem for the North shore.

Sorry your experience was not stellar. As much as we try and keep the beach clean (cleaned the day before you arrived) we are at the whim of the wind and trash dumped into our oceans.
Hope your next experience is better.

Beautiful, well appointed beachfront cottage
Emerald Sea House is a lovely comfortable cottage. The beds were super comfortable with high quality linens and private baths. There were good quality appliances and pots and pans in the kitchen and comfortable furnishings in the living room. The beach was very private with a spectacular view and good snorkelling right in front. There were two book cases full of books-mainly mysteries, games, Wii, puzzles and videos, not to mention the kayaks! The only reasons I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 are that there was a lot of seaweed and plastic garbage that had washed up on the beach. We had a strong wind out of the north east for the first three days and that seemed to cause most of the garbage problem. This had definitely improved by the end of the trip.
The location on the island does requires a car.
Stingray City was a highlight and we were able to go from Rum Point, just down the road.
I would highly recommend Emerald Sea House!

Glad to hear you enjoyed your getaway. We try very hard to ensure that your experience is flawless by taking care of everything we can think of that we can control.
Sorry to hear that trash along the beach was annoying. We do have a service that cleans the beach and property twice a month but we are at the mercy of the wind as to if and when plastic trash is washed onto shore. I have contacted our landscaping service to ensure that the beach is being cleaned as scheduled.

Why they chose this property
This house fit our style: low key, laid back, not a touristy area and private. Good food is just down the road at Kaibo yacht club or Rum Point.
What makes this property unique
House backs up to the ocean. If you walk out on the sand bar there's great snorkeling and swimming.
