We had everything we needed here to enjoy our stay.....very clean property that was close to everything we had on our agenda. We loved having our schnauzer with us on this vacation for hiking the trails. We would definitely stay here again and hope to do so in the near future. Thank you!
My elderly parents arrived late at night before we arrived. When they arrived at 10pm at night, in the pitch black the front door was left wide open. I guess the cleaners had left the house with the door open, and completely unsecured and unlocked. I was very upset when I arrived knowing my elderly parents went into the house not knowing if someone was inside, or if someone broke into the home, etc. Part of renting a home is knowing that it's going to be secured and safe. When I had text the owners about it, they really didn't seem to be concerned about it and just said that they will talk to their cleaners.
I texted the owner about this issue, as well as requesting more towels and wash cloths. We arrived with only 1 towel and 1 washcloth per person, the owner didn't respond back until 2 or 3 days later. There aren't very many hooks in the bathrooms for hanging towels, etc.
The dishwasher wasn't working properly during our stay, so we ended up handwashing all of our dishes. For the expense that we paid to stay for the week, it was a big inconvenience.
There was poor control of the AC in the living room and master bedroom. It got pretty hot throughout the night and the AC didn't seem to be working right.
It was very easy for the bears to get into the trash, which they did and made a mess. So we spent a good amount of time cleaning up the trash the one day.
Overall the house is nice, and it's in a really nice location. It's great for hanging out and grilling on the deck, and it's very quiet and peaceful. It was clean and comfortable for our stay for the week.

Naomi, we want all of our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we’re so sorry that your safety was called into question by the unsecured entrance. Providing a safe and welcoming environment for all of our guests is at the forefront of our mission, and we are here 24/7 to support you when issues arise. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they also wanted to share the following:
-Our phone was broken shortly before your stay, and we apologize for the delays in communication that occurred while we were trying to secure a replacement
-We've followed up with our cleaning crew to ensure that they double-check the doors before they leave the home
-While we reached out to let you know where more towels could be found, we were experiencing technical difficulties at the time and apologize if you did not receive that text
-We've had the air conditioning unit serviced and can confirm it is now working properly
Thank you for letting us know about your stay. We’d love the chance to provide you with a truly 5-star travel experience, so please let us know if there’s anything we can do to help the next time that you book a vacation rental.
We had such a great time. The house as located near both Biltmore and downtown Asheville. The place was perfectly laid out with far more room then we thought. The beds were very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.
Nicely decorated, spacious 2 BR, 2 bath. So much cozier and better than a hotel!! Loved the location of being tucked in the woods and within 10-20min away from areas of interest. Would definitely rent again.
My family and I really enjoyed our stay here! The house is close to the blue ridge parkway and downtown Asheville which was very convenient for us. The property managers were quick to respond whenever needed.
Our trip started with a bit of a hiccup as when we arrived at the appointed time the cleaners had not been there. We contacted the property owners and they promptly came over to clean and sent us out with a gift card; it was a nice gesture considering we were ready to relax at the house and wouldn't be able to use the home for another few hours.
The house is super cute and the owners made great use out of the space. It is in a great location, really quiet area but also close to Downtown, Biltmore, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. We only used the outside area once as it was raining most of the stay, but it's a great space to eat and hang out.
A few suggestions for the owners:
- The master bedroom was much hotter than the rest of the house, even with the air on. Consider looking into this.
- For people who really like to cook, this could use some upgrades in. utensils, knives, etc. It got the job done though.
- Perhaps hang a shelf or two in the master bathroom so there are places for people to put their toiletry bags, brush, etc. Due to the sink being so small there's nowhere for these things to go.
- Have a regular (not travel-size) blow dryer in the house. Those of us with hair longer than our ears couldn't get our hair dried.
- More places to hang towels in the hallway bath.
- Have some kind of instruction/welcome book so that renters know the WiFi info, any quirks with the house, instructions on use of things, places to go, etc.
Again, these suggestions did not detract from our stay and we would stay here again. Thank you for sharing your home and for the hospitality!
Had a great time, would definitely visit Asheville again and rent this property again. Hiking, shopping and restaurants were all fantastic. Love the area. Perfectly located to everything. Thank you again.

What a darling place! It was totally clean and comfortable. The bed in the guest bedroom was extremely comfortable and I could control the a/c for the room. It’s conveniently located near the highway which for us easy access for all the Asheville and hiking trips we did. Amazing value!
Clean, comfortable, convenient location. We enjoyed our stay. The house had everything we needed. We had one morning without internet but the contact quickly resolved the problem and we were back in business!! We enjoyed Asheville, hikes along the Blue Ridge Pkwy, the Biltmore estate and family evenings together at the house. Thank you.
This property was great for a getaway to Asheville! It was so convenient to hop on the Parkway or run into Asheville. The inside was just what we needed, and we loved the outdoor seating space!
Our group of 4 had a great time at the property. It was spacious, well stocked, and very clean. The outside space was great for enjoying coffee in the morning and some wine in the evening. About a 15 minute drive to downtown Asheville. Highly recommend!
Nice place. Centrally located. Owners response to text messages was timely. Met our needs.

Wonderful location, very close to Biltmore and downtown
Open area with kitchen, dining table and sitting area. Master Bedroom includes sitting area. Lovely babbling stream off the deck. The deck is gated so is was safe for our dog. Although we were there during the winter, the loads of rhododendron along the stream must be spectacular in bloom! Not advised for those who have difficulty with stairs.
The house was perfectly located near everywhere we wanted to visit while in Asheville. It is very clean and nicely decorated. Especially loved the back deck looking over the small creek running through the property. Just lovely!
We enjoyed our stay. House was very clean, comfortable, and quiet. Overall great stay. Great location close to Biltmore and easy drive to downtown Asheville. Property listing was accurate. Owner was pleasant and helpful with questions.
This property is nice and secluded but very accessible to the town of Asheville. The home is spacious and offers outdoor deck space for chilling out and grilling out! We found it affordable with all the elements necessary for a wonderful stay in Asheville!
