About this property

Our Happy Place, 3 bedroom house with all amenities.

Over our quiet road from the lake is our very comfortable and recently refurbed well appointed 2 storied house with (2 TV's and Netflix) 2 living areas, upstairs and downstairs. Great for the Kids! 2 dbl bedrooms upstairs, and bunkroom downstairs with 4 bunk beds and 2 extra mattresses. Large outside deck with great views. Close to 3 boat ramps and ski lanes at the picturesque and quieter end of Lake Taupo. Great fishing either from boat or fly fish the famed Tauranga Taupo (3 min drive) or Tongariro Rivers (15 minute drive). Tokaanu hot pools are 20 mins away. Taupo town is a 25 minute drive North with all the town has to offer. Taupo Motorsport park is an easy 35 minutes. Wairakei golf and hot pools 40 mins North. Mt Ruapehu is 1 hours drive, and call in at Tokaanu hot pools on your way back. We use hotel grade linen for your comfort and hygiene.

Please turn off oven, hob and all electrical switches.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Use tablemats on table please. In drawer on table side of bench. Linen supplied No cooking curry. No parties NO DRUGS
Please clean BBQ after use.
Minimum 3 night stay please on designated holiday weekends - Waitangi Day etc.

Our 3 night getaway

Our experience renting this property was pretty good. We all enjoyed our stay and having walking distance to the lake was so great. Plenty of room for outside games and plenty of room out on the deck to have a bbq and enjoy snacks and dinner out on.

Front door dead lock needs attention. Doors in master bedroom need serious fixing. We just find it strange that we pay for a clean of the property, yet we are required to vacuum. We also have to remove our rubbish and no rubbish bin is provided this is nota very good thing to require when we pay to stay ….we suppose some people are very dirty so perhaps a slightly different approach like pay more for cleaning or less if you clean. We still had a great time thx again

Our family love this area, and all that it offers. We are keen boat people and our children all waterski, and we enjoy the lake and its great fishing! It is as busy as you want it to be!

Why they chose this property

My Family had a childhood in a family Bach in this street. We just love the area and all that it offers. The family still have the Bach and we have bought this house in the same street for our family, as have all my siblings.
Life here is great, and we have neighbours who are friendly, helpful and sociable.
There are great views from the deck up and down the lake, and we enjoy our outdoor living, being sheltered from the breeze that often sends lakefront people indoors!
We love Waitetoko and surrounds.
It is our Happy Place.

What makes this property unique

Handy to either Taupo or Turangi. Whakapapa (Mt Ruapehu) is an hours drive and the Sky Waka Gondola is a must do and see.
Hot pools at Tokaanu are an easy 20 minute drive.
Easy access to river fishing with the Tongariro, Tauranga Taupo, and Hinemaia all close by.
There are 3 boat ramps close by, but the new ramps at Motuoapa are the best, especially if the lake is low.
