The house is delightful and the location is great. We loved being walking distance from restaurants, the park, and Monument Lake!! The only thing to note is the railroad tracks close by. The train travels mostly during the day and didn’t make noise at night except once.

Limbach Lodge

The stay was quiet, restful, and convenient. The house is located in downtown Monument. It was within walking distance of everything in the downtown town, restaurants, bars, ice cream shop. The home owner was so nice and extremely helpful. I would recommend staying here if traveling to Monument.

The host was amazing. He asked were we hosting Thanksgiving and when we said yes he made sure there was enough cooking equipment to have a wonderful feast. The house is old charm. Very comfortable. Easy access to everything.

We loved our stay at the house! Our family of 6 fit very nicely in the house with enough room. The house was very clean and so fun! Our kids loved all the different things about an older house, especially the "window" over the kitchen sink. That quickly became a "restaurant", it was very fun! It's very well kept and was fantastic. The beds were great and it was very cozy. Thank you for a wonderful stay! We can't wait to stay again.

Marvelous Monument

Monument Retreat was a great property that met the needs for four days of running around Denver, Colorado Springs, and the mountains. The house was very clean and the sleeping arrangements are very good. It is convenient to get to and around as it is just a minute or so off the interstate. The town residents are very friendly and we found great food, coffee, and ice cream very close to the house. I will definitely use again when in the area.

Exactly What We Were Looking For

This was such a great location. Easy highway access to get to Denver, Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs, etc. It is also located right in the middle of historic downtown Monument where you can walk to multiple restaurants, a taproom, and a playground/park. There were two outdoor concerts in the park within within the one week we were there. There is also a train track right behind the house that our toddler boy loved watching (it's not loud at all). The house itself is great. Clean, comfortable, and plenty of room to relax. Only downside is there is only one bathroom (downstairs) and has one of those large, old-school tubs that is hard to take a shower in. I feel bad complaining about that though, because I really enjoyed our stay. I hope we can stay here again on a future trip!

Great Stay at Limbach House

We stayed for several days in the historic Limbach House while celebrating our sons wedding at the Hearth House venue. Fantastic location as we just walked across the street to help set up and attend the event. No driving needed. The lodge is very quaint with 3 comfy bedrooms upstairs and a full bath downstairs. The family space was perfect for 6 adults and the kitchen was nice for a post wedding breakfast. Niall was a great host and so easy to contact. If you stay take a walk to the nearby lake or a few blocks to downtown for coffee or the farmers market on Saturday. Seems like everything in CO Springs was 20 min - Zoo, museums, Garden of the Gods. Flying W Ranch. Note: There are trains nearby which didn't bother our party at all.

We wanted a place close to some outdoor adventure, this place was perfect. 30 minutes from alot of great things but less crowded than the area all those things are. Had excellent weather. House was perfect for three gals.

Great location for Bridal Party to stay during wedding week!

I rented this for my daughter's bridesmaids to stay during the week prior to her wedding, which was at the Hearth House across the street. This was the perfect location for the girls to stay and be able to walk to restaurants and shops and be near the wedding venue. The house is decorated so well, and the girls were so excited at how cute it was and said they really loved it! Beds were comfortable, kitchen had everything you could think of, back porch and views were beautiful, and the location was the best! Heart House should put this house on their list of places to stay, since it is right across the street, and so convenient! This is a perfect vacation home for anyone visitng Colorado, as it's close to Colorado Springs, Monument, the Air Force Academy, Denver, and all of the beautiful outdoor activities Colorado has to offer!

Historic 1897 Home

My husband and I are senior citizens. If there was something else available in Monument that was at a reasonable price we would have Considered another site. It was a challenge for us to use the stairs especially with the one bathroom downstairs and the bedroom upstairs. However, for a younger family this would not be an issue. It is difficult for me to imagine six people living there with just one bathroom but I guess it could work out. Otherwise the home was nicely furnished and equipped with everything you would need for a long stay. I would suggest leaving clear directions to use the TVs, thermostat and other electronics. The owner was readily available when we had questions or concerns.
