Our stay was amazing! Such a beautiful place in an unexpected location of VA. We stayed here as a place to prep and get ready for our wedding and our host was very accommodating to our needs. They helped us with storage of our wedding food and parking for our bridal party when getting ready. The downstairs apartment was cozy and more spacious than the photos make it seem. Their back yard and the creek was such a beautiful setting for our bridal photos and make it feel really special. Thank you again for such a comfortable stay.

We loved staying at Gary and Jennifer’s place! Their property is so beautiful and serene with gorgeous fall leaves and the gently rushing river. Their place has EVERYTHING you need and more for your stay! Communication was friendly and welcoming and they accommodated our special requests to make our time in Lynchburg perfect! We can’t wait to stay again next time we’re in the area!

Charming and relaxing

Our stay was driven by our visit to Liberty University, and normally we would have stayed at a hotel but everything was booked, and im very glad it was. The property was peaceful and clean and we absolutely loved our stay.

Relaxing Get-a-way

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The hosts provide so many activities and extras that we haven't received elsewhere. We highly recommend them and their beautiful apartment!

Family Fun

Honestly we could not have asked for a better stay! Everything was as described, the creek was so peaceful, and all the options for games were exactly what the kids were looking for. Plus we saw a mom and two baby deer ❤️ thank you again!!

An absolutely perfect property

A great stay from top to bottom the house is immaculate. The property is beautiful. The host is attentive. Everything you could possibly need is provided highly recommend for your stay away from everything but also close enough to get to everything.

Great location for LUCOM Graduation

The location is great being close to LU and downtown Lynchburg. The setting is so serene and the hosts were great with communication. The kitchen had every appliance we needed and we enjoyed grilling out the first evening. Would highly recommend and even though we probably won’t be back to Lynchburg, we would definitely stay there again!!

The accommodations worked great for our family!

My husband and I and two adult daughters met there for birthday celebrations and it was nice to have the living space to hang out when we were home. The surroundings are beautiful! Loved the water with chairs set up on the bank to enjoy. Our visit was quick, but will definitely come back and would love to stay longer to really make use of all it has to offer. We felt very welcome, to be sharing their home.

Our host was very helpful connecting with us. The property was out in the country with a stream. It made for a quiet and enjoyable stay. I could see how in the warmer weather it would be fun to play in the stream. Very comfortable stay

Perfect elopement stay

My husband and I and our 1 year old twins enjoyed our stay here. It was so homey and clean. The host had plenty of extra towels and blankets which was a plus. And I loved that they had extra fans in the closet for the white noise! The only things I would change, is a smart tv and a softer bed! We would definitely stay here again! The creek is so beautiful I wish we could have hung out down there more during our stay! Thank you again for sharing your home!

Beautiful country setting!

The property was so spacious, clean and had literally everything you could ever need in a vacation rental. Plenty of comfy seating in the common areas and a great projection TV system for movie viewing. It unfortunately rained buckets the whole time we were staying on site, so we didn’t get to utilize all the wonderful outdoor amenities like the fire pit, tubing on the stream (literally!) in the back yard and exploring the woods. And it’s close to lots of the attractions we came to the area for including the BlueRidge Parkway and the Natural Bridge Caverns. I highly recommend this lovely home away from home.

Peaceful Retreat, Everything You Need

The size is perfect, so is everything else! We fit our family of seven very comfortably. I loved not having to pack a lot so that my kids had things to play outside. There were many comforts of home in case we forgot. 😊 The kids walked in and all smiled right away, so it was immediately a good sign. It rained a little, so we went to Sea Quest at the mall and also did a little shopping. There was more of the property l, outside games, and Lynchburg we left unexplored, so we hope to return. 💌💌 It was nice to give my kids a piece of my childhood, exploring the creek and being outside was great!

Loved the location

Myself, along with my son and daughter-in-law, were in VA for a family wedding. The initial drive to the property off the main road seemed a never-ending series of hills, twists and turns, especially for folks from the city. But, in fact, the trip in/out was only about five minutes. The property itself was great. A two bedroom, one bath on the lower level of a lovely private home. The house is on a hill so we could drive right to our entrance in back. The unit is all on one floor with no steps (important to me). There's just a short walk down to the creek. The area is wooded and incredibly quiet. Hosts provide a number of outdoor activities. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would definitely recommend.

Family friendly getaway

Jennifer and her family were awesome hosts. The walk out basement apartment with kitchen, laundry, TV/DVD projected on the wall, plenty of beds, made this the perfect family getaway. Our schedule and the weather didn't give us much of an opportunity to go exploring, but there would be plenty to do with their acreage and the creek. Having the full kitchen gave us the flexibility to eat in and save some money while we vacationed. Also, I so appreciated the laundry so that I didn't have to do a bunch of it the minute we walked in the door after getting home! They had all the dishes we needed, a variety of DVD's, CD's, and even games in the apartment for us to use. Jennifer checked in with us a couple times (a great balance of being available, but not always around). The road that goes to their home is a bit bumpy and narrow...we recommend keeping your left tires on the ridge that has formed down the center of it to avoid scraping bottom. We hope to be able to stay here again on future visits.
