The Neighborhood:
Mount Canobolas is an extinct volcano and is 1395m above sea level. It is the highest peak between the Blue Mountains and the Indian Ocean. Mount Canobolas State conservation area is full of beautiful bird watching, walking tracks, picnic areas, BBQ facilities and the summit provides a breath-taking 360 degree view of Orange and surrounding areas. Nearby Lake Canobolas Reserve provides a relaxing space on shore, take a refreshing swim or enjoy the walk around the lake. Refreshments are available from the Lakehouse Kiosk (please check online if it's open or ring ahead).

Getting Around:
Bendalong is a 10min drive to Orange CBD.
Orange Taxi Service and Uber are also available to use.

Other Things to Note:
- The property is located in a rural area, so irregular noises, such as bird evacuation shots and other farming-related sounds, should be expected.

Beautiful Spot

We loved our stay at Bendalong. It is in a beautiful, quiet location and has everything you could need. The property is a only a short drive from Orange CBD, and it is easy to get to other close by towns.

Lovely cottage

We would have loved to stay longer here! Multiple living areas, comfortable beds and a beautiful yard. It was cold and rainy while we were there, but the fire warmed us up nicely and we had a lovely time.

A really enjoyable stay and all perfect apart from the filthy floor throughout (had to clean it twice before our socks would stay relatively clean and kitchen nmot that well equipped.

Great family accomodation

This house was suited in a quiet and picturesque location, not too far from the centre of Orange. It was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed, including lovely bathroom supplies. There was plenty of space for our family of five and easy access to technology. We would highly recommend this property!

Better than expected!!

Perfect location - small lake, great view, yet still close to town centre. We loved the design of the house including the bar, bathrooms, bedrooms and living space. We would love to share this space with our family and friends the next time we stay!

Quiet rural retreat

Bendalong is a 10-min drive from Orange and is a lovely tranquil property. Our young family enjoyed games, walks and being woken up to the birdlife. Would have been nice to have the external areas a little cleaner but other than that, we couldn't fault it.

A Perfect Escape

A lovely homely property in a quiet location. Very clean and exceeded our expectations. Tastefully modernised with very comfy beds and great bathrooms. Loved the fire! Everything we could have wished for. Great to have wifi and mobile reception and access to streaming services. We would love to come back.

A lovely property in a very quiet location. We stayed here last year too and since then, plantation shutters have been added to all rooms. The master suite is huge and has a lovely bathroom. The room with the fireplace is very cosy and we used it a lot as it was very cold and raining during our stay. In warm weather there is a lovely verandah in the gardens. We noticed it wasn’t quite as clean as the last time we stayed but nothing we couldn’t fix ourselves. The house is very dark and none of the lighting, except the bathrooms, seems to be sufficient, especially on dark and dreary days. But all in all, it’s a lovely place to stay

My recent stay at Bendalong was nothing short of superb!

This property is located in a beautiful rural spot close to everything you need around the Orange Area, We arrived to an already heated house with music playing and a welcome box of goodies that felt like we were in our own home. This place was so well set up for what we wanted and was such good value for the money! Surrounded by wildlife and with all the bells and whistles of a well renovated house, nothing in this home disappointed. Thank you so much for your hospitality, we cannot wait to return and show other friends and family one of Nashdale's best kept secrets!

We loved our stay at Bendalong - Rural Retreat. The property is beautifully presented, we were welcomed with calm music and a lovely lit home. The little goodie basket was definitely a bonus. The home was comfortable and clean. The kids loved running around the gardens and asked if we could stay longer! I would definitely recommend this property to a family or friends wanting to get away to Orange. We could have quite happily just hung around Bendalong as it felt like home. It is an easy 15min drive to the centre of Orange. The communication with Stuart was great as we were allowed to take some delicious lemons off the lemon tree. Thank you Bendalong, we will visit again!
