Overall, the house was clean, it was check in ready, and all of the necessities were available. Communication with the host was prompt, and I appreciated being able to check in early also. The house was huge and there was enough space for our group of 10. the location was near the village area and in a quiet neighborhood. Perhaps some areas to improve are two of the windows- kitchen and master bath, could use repair since they were not easy to close. The window needed to be manually pulled to close, then locked. Lastly, the carpet that leads upstairs could be cleaned or replaced- many spots everywhere and it just appears untidy. I would gladly give 5 stars if both items are remedied.

Not too clean !!! But good location !!!!

It’s worth the price we paid (we booked two weeks in advance so the price is tripled). 1,The dish were not clean at all, we had to wash them before using. 2,, there’s hair in the sheets and some sheets were not clean. 3, the heater doesn’t work well (only one control for downstairs and upstairs). When you put 70, downstairs is like 65 but upstairs is like 85 then midnight the heater stops so from summer to winter in just few minutes. 4, we paid so much cleaning fee but we had to wash all the dishes and put them away . It seemed everyone in big bear needs to take the trash out and drop at same place so we had to do that too. So I don’t understand they charge us a lot cleaning fee that we had to do all the work. Overall, don’t recommend this place!

End of winter Vacation

The check in was super easy and fast. The house was right down the street from the check in. This house was super convenient and in walking distance from "The Village", a bike rental shop, and Mind Shaft Roller Coaster and snow play area. Negatives : I have stayed at quite a few rentals and they have always come with a wide array of cookware and basic seasonings. This property was not even close to what we have come to expect. We had cookware that was damaged beyond use (we had to spend more money buying simple cookware just to make due). Also all the spices and seasonings left were severely (years)expired. I threw them all away. *We were also charged a huge cleaning fee and it was not up to standard. The walls in the bathroom had mildew on them and when we wiped all counters and knobs down, especially in the kitchen, we came up with dirty wipes. I expected more of a clean environment for the price. The check out was very convenient as well. They let us have late check out at 1 with no problems. Overall a 7 out of 10
