Hunter's Retreat is an ideal spot for any group getaway to beautiful Wanaka. When it’s cold outside, keep cosy and warm next to the gas fireplace. Make a coffee and grab a book, switch on the tele, or log into the WIFI and post the photos from your day’s adventures at Cardrona! And when those summer temps hit, switch on the air-conditioning and chill.

A fully equipped kitchen offers every opportunity to cook up a storm, or head out on the patio and throw some delicious local produce on the BBQ. A dining table in the open-plan living space is waiting to seat the whole family, or go Kiwi style and dine alfresco!

Five bedrooms here at Hunter's Retreat comfortably sleep up to 10 guests, with king, queen, and bunk bed options. There’s plenty of bathroom space too, with an ensuite to the master, an additional main bathroom, and an extra toilet with basin on the ground floor!

Make sure you bring all the adventure equipment with you to Hunter's Retreat. The garage is available for you to either park the car or store your gear; there’s even space to park your boat. And you’ll want to bring it, with the boat ramp only 1km away.

Hunter's Retreat feels peaceful and private in a town that is usually a bustling hive of activity in peak season. You’re certainly not far from the action though! Just 2.5km down the road is the lakefront with its shops and eateries, as well as conveniences like a New World Supermarket and pharmacy. Stroll the beachfront to check out #ThatWanakaTree, and grab an ice-cream at Black Peak Gelato on the way back!

If you’re up for some adventure or family fun, Cardrona ski field is less than an hour away, Puzzling World is only seven minutes drive, and for a challenging hike with rewarding views, the Roys Peak trailhead is just 15 minutes from your home away from home.
