This was my 5th stay. The host is a wonderful person, the property is amazing, its kid friendly, truely a rare gem. You wont be disappointed no matter what time of year you go!
Our family stayed at this cottage while my son was playing baseball at Cooperstown Dreams Park. Beautiful property, great communication with the host, close to the park. Would recommend.
The cottage was cozy and the surroundings were quiet and peaceful. Although it rained most of our visit we were able to enjoy a trip to The Baseball Hall of Fame and Cooperstown.
We were very happy with the house, the amenities, and of course the lake. The house was as advertised and we enjoyed the paddle boards and dock. We were in and out due to a baseball tournament, but we were all very happy with the house!
Such a great time, this is our thrid year at this property. It never disappoints 😀 Can barely keep the kids out of the lake, best time to connect with eachother.
Yet another stay at this amazing cabin. Owned and operated by a wonderful family. In the 4 or 5 times I've been there has never been a problem. You can't go wrong with this place!
We loved, loved this lake home for our family. My children were able to fish from the dock each day and take out the paddle boat and paddle boards. It was the perfect getaway for our family of 5.
The weather didn't cooperate and even with that we all had a BLAST! The kids were in and out of the lake all day and we booked for next year an even longer stay. This place really is a hidden gem!
This trip was a Bucket List trip to the Baseball Hall of Fame. My husband is a huge baseball fan but had never gone to Cooperstown. We had a great trip, the house location was perfect and the view was beautiful!
This home is a great little home for a family to enjoy a getaway in the woods. Only 12 minutes from the cooperstown feilds it is perfect for a family needing a place during the tournament. The lake is quiet and clean and a wonderful place to relax. The house is clean and stocked with anything you might need! Enjoy.

A slice of heaven
It doesn't matter what season you visit this camp it's always beautiful. The camp has everything you need while still feeling rustic. From wifi to a paddle boat they have you covered. The owner is absolutely awesome to work with, professional and polite. I've gone 4 times now and am already planning a 5th, don't miss out on this place!
Very relaxing and quiet. House was very clean. We were so happy with our experience that we booked the home for another week the following year. The house does not have a washer and dryer, but if you pack knowing this you will be fine.
I couldn’t be more pleased with our accommodations at this Lakeside Retreat. The place was clean, well stocked, and absolutely perfect. The property manager Lisa made sure we had everything we could possibly need and even threw in extras like ingredients for s’mores, extra propane for the gas grill, and extra firewood for the outdoor pit. We spent our days watching the kids play baseball and our evenings fishing off the dock, boating, and enjoying the outdoor space to the fullest. We already can’t wait to go back!
Our stay from July 6-11 while our son was playing baseball at Cooperstown All Star Village was perfect. The location is somewhat in the middle between Cooperstown and Oneonta, which works well if you’re going to both cities. It was a scenic 18-minute drive from the Lakeside cottage to the All Star fields by Oneonta (I think it’s even closer to the other baseball complex by Cooperstown). The rustic cottage was perfect for our needs and was comfortable, clean, quiet and relaxing. The lake views are amazing and we enjoyed relaxing on the dock by the water (and my wife and son enjoyed use of the paddle boards on the lake). The owner, Wade, was extremely helpful and responsive throughout our stay, making sure we had everything we needed for a great stay. His restaurant recommendations were all spot-on for what we were looking for. For our family and needs, this was a great place to relax and sleep and enjoy a little downtime between all of the baseball activities that brought us to Cooperstown — highly recommended!

The place was nice. It was very cold and not enough heat. When we got there we couldn't figure out the tv. I called the management company who advised the property manager would come out. That never happened. That was disappointing but fortunately we figured it out on our own.
Last year we loved this property and location so much that we booked it again for this year while my grandson played baseball at Cooperstown. It was a great place for the kids to unwind after their games. The kids enjoyed paddle boarding, fishing, and some hiking. The only recommendation that I would suggest is to list the fact that the property has no washer and dryer so that people would be prepared. We were prepared this year, but we struggled a little last year with minimal clothes.
This property is in Otsego County not the lake. It is Arnold lake 25 minutes from Cooperstown. There was perishables left in refrigerator and the tv was not working. When attempting to call the host the number was disconnected. Emailed VRBO who contacted someone that got back later that night but we already made other accommodations since no one was available. I was told sorry but host info had never been updated . Now disputing refund over a week

Hello Maria, thanks for letting us know about your stay. The owner wanted to share the following:
- The property is listed accurately as a lakeside property but it does not state the property is on Otsego Lake and we are sorry this impacted your stay.
- The items in the refrigerator are left by previous guests. We have not had any complaints from previous guests and guests tend to enjoy them while they are there.
- The TV is in working order but not every channel is available to view. This information is provided in the Welcome Book and Guide Book so guests are fully prepared for their stay. We truly go above and beyond for our guests, and we are confident that future guests will have excellent stays!
We traveled to the Cooperstown area as a celebration trip for my husband‘s birthday. He chose the trip destination, the Baseball Hall of Fame, and this was a great location/cottage to use as “home base” for a few days. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the areas of Cooperstown, Milford and Cherry Valley. It was a laid-back time of year to be a tourist in this area. We have used VRBO several times, and give this cottage 4 stars for a couple of reasons. I would highly recommend that you thoroughly read the description of the cottage and acquaint yourself with all of the idiosyncrasies of this rental. I am usually pretty good at doing that but there were a couple of things I missed. The running/tapwater is not potable, however drinking water is provided in a large cooler. Not a huge inconvenience however something to be aware of. We were not informed ahead of time that the dock would be taken out of the water at the time we arrived. My husband is a fisherman as well and was looking forward to sitting on the dock to fish and was not able to do that. Basically all of the outdoor amenities were closed down for the season and we were not informed of that. It was very cold at night low of 29° and the heating was by a woodstove which took us a little while to figure out, no central heat or A/C. Having never operated a woodstove it was a bit of an adventure! Two things I would recommend to the owner are more comfortable seating in the living room - need a new couch and the linens and bed pillows were a bit shabby.
That being said, we enjoyed the cottage by the lake, the view is fantastic and the proximity to all attractions in the area worked for us!
Our time at Arnold Lake is always too brief, but we were delighted this year to find this lovely cottage, which felt like a home away from home. Well-stocked kitchen for all kinds of cooking, beautiful views upstairs and down, cozy with personal touches throughout. We enjoyed reading about the history of the cottage and the family’s love and care for it. The dock was a great place for reading and swimming and just taking in the view for hours. The lake is pristine. On our walks we met welcoming and friendly neighbors. We look forward to returning with our daughter and son-in-law next time!
