Oceanfront views take you across the Pacific and allow you to see the West Maui Mountains and the island of Lanai. Step out onto the balcony, sit back on the patio furniture and take in the cool ocean breeze while enjoying the ocean view or a pink and orange Maui sunset. The large windows in this unit also allow for a flood of natural sunlight to brighten your unit and your time on Maui.

This third-floor one-bedroom, one-bath unit has new tile floors in the entryway, kitchen, and bathroom. New tile flooring has been installed throughout the condo. The kitchen has been recently remodeled with beautiful cherry wood cabinets, granite countertops, new appliances, and stylish custom made back-splash. The kitchen opens up to the living and dining area and provides a large living area to enjoy while relaxing inside and watching the Large Flat Screen TV. The bedroom in this unit has a queen-size bed and the bathroom has a large mirrored vanity and a glass door walk-in shower. This unit provides free wireless Internet and free phone calls to the U.S. and Canada.

The Kihei Surfside is located in South Kihei, just before the town of Wailea. The entire property is Ocean Front. There is a beautifully manicured lawn fronting the building, where you can relax on a chaise and enjoy the ocean breeze and oceanfront views. The BBQ area is great for nights enjoyed. The front desk on the property is available for guest assistance. There is a coin-operated laundry facility on the property.

The Kihei Surfside is a short drive from all that South Maui has to offer. Just south of the property is the town of Wailea, where you will find many shops and restaurants from casual to luxury. The town of Kihei has many more shops and restaurants to choose from, including grocery stores, retail shopping, souvenir shopping, a quick-bite-to-eat, and fine dining.
Situated next to the Kihei Surfside is the Mana Kai, which has a convenient store and on the other side of the Mana Kai, you will find the Keawakapu beach. It is a long white sand beach and is a two-minute walk away. Enjoy your Piece of Paradise at the Kihei Surfside.

Wonderful stay in South Kihei

Location, location, location! It was so nice to have such great access to beautiful Keawakapu Beach right next door as well as shops, restaurants and several other great beaches within walking distance. The unit itself was clean, quiet and well stocked with a lovely lanai. The lawn, pool and BBQ facilities were accessible and not crowded. We wpild definately stay here again!

Wonderful location, walking distance to pristine beaches. Unit itself could stand some updating and glass cleaning on the lanai but overall would stay again for the location.

Perfect stay

Clean and nice sized for a single person or a couple. Everything you needed with a great view overlooking the pool, a HUGE lawn, and the water where whales were jumping non-stop.

Beautiful Maui

The condo was great. The pictures of the place were exactly as we found. Very much impressed and the view was spectacular. Our first time staying on this side of the island, and we were not disappointed. We would definitely consider staying here again!

Quick trip

We needed an easy place to stay while attending to my sick mother. This property is lovely with a huge area for kids to play (we did not need). A beautiful view of the ocean, and we could hear the waves. We did not get to the pool , so can’t comment on that. It was perfect for our needs.

Great location but noisy

Second time staying here but this time closer to the pool. Overall the complex and this condo are great. We stayed starting Jan 1 and there were many families with small children. Because the condo is fairly close to the pool, it was pretty noisy throughout the day. A few days later most of the families left and it was much more peaceful. If you like to sleep in, be aware that the roosters and mynah birds start up about 6 am and they are LOUD. We enjoyed getting up early so didn't mind. There is no AC so the windows will likely be open. Well-equipped kitchen and lots of beach toys, although this area could use some upgrades.

Wonderful condo in a great location

Loved Kihei Surfside. Our unit and the property in general were great. The location can't be beat if you like being in the ocean. Unit had a comfortable bed, a nice living and dining area, and a well stocked kitchen. The outdoor patio was where we spent most of our time in the unit. Great ocean view and big enough to use for dining. The unit had some games and equipment and the property managers also supplied beach chairs. Employees were all nice and friendly. This unit was right by the elevator which made it great for bringing stuff up and down. I didn't notice extra noise because of this location. From the property, you can walk south to a beach that is over a mile long. Just to the north is the boat ramp that many companies use for trips or on the water. You do need to drive to most restaurants. Great vacation stay. Can't think of any negatives and would stay again.

Reviewer Comments: Unit and bedroom window Is RIGHT outside elevator so sleep is frequently interrupted regardless of quiet hours. Upon arrival checked bedding fitted sheet was dirty with no back-up in unit. Limited towels and no pillow cases. Called management company and they dropped off two bags of new sheets and towels next day. Response was a bit overboard but appreciated having clean linens. Don’t expect to be able to sleep on pull-out. Very uncomfortable. Bed in bedroom was very comfortable. Pool and BBQ great and well maintained. NO shade and no umbrellas allowed in pool area.

Unfortunately the individual rentals unit are dated and need some attention. 307 in particular had tv wires hanging from the bedroom wall and the smoke detector was missing in the hallway. We could not even use the blender because it smelled so bad that we threw it out and bought a new one for the unit. The bed headboard as so loose that every time one of us moved in the night it squeaked or banged against the wall, we finally put a towel between the wall and the head board to stop it. There wasn’t a sharp knife in the drawers but there were plenty of utensils. The frying pan was warped and the handles was broken. We purposely rent a unit with a kitchen so we can eat in at least once per day. We had to buy our own beach towels? The pool, BBQ and adjacent part are wonderful.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I stayed at unit 307 with my great nephew during his spring break. Reserved the condo through a Hawaiian airlines vacation package. I typically stay at the Grant Wailea, but since it was spring break, the rates were atrocious so chose to stay at a condo instead. This little unit has so much potential, but is very dated. I don't want to sound like a total princess, but I would probably not stay here again for a few reasons. The biggest issue, but is in the process of being fixed, is that there is no air conditioning. I had read previous reviews about the Kihei Surfside, and specifically this unit so I was aware there was no air conditioning. Some comments made by other guests stated there was somewhat of a breeze to make it comfortable to sleep at night. I did not find this to be the case at all! Air conditioning is coming soon, so that will be a great solution. However, the furniture is very dated and uncomfortable. The mattress and linens were a big problem. Linens were starting to have pilling and were mismatched (there's the Princess in me). There are some minor holes in the walls in the bedroom that could easily be patched up and repainted. The bathroom was recently remodeled and is fine. Bathroom towels were very nice. The kitchen was also remodeled. The dishes were also mismatched and plastic wine glasses were melted from dishwasher use but still in the cabinets. Cookware and dishes are also mismatched. Pros: probably the most gorgeous views ever and so close to the ocean. The gentleman at the front desk was very nice and helpful and told us where to rent water toys next-door. There is also a general store at the condos close by that is easy to get supplies if you need something quick. Most of the parking was shaded and very easy to maneuver. We didn't use the washer/dryer, but it was available. There is a beautiful lawn associated with the condos for friends and family gatherings. As I said, this place has so much potential, but really need some attention!!

The location is one of the best in Kihei, right on the water and steps away from Keawakapu beach which you can walk along right into Wailea. The resort next door has a great cafe/shop where you can pick up almost anything you need and the restaurants etc in Kihei are about a 5-10 minute walk. Check in and check out were really easy and the building front staff are all super friendly. The unit has everything you would need, including a stunning view, and there is a great outdoor bbq area to cook dinners and watch the sunset. I honestly can't recommend this place enough.

Heavy constructionBeing performed on the property. It was advertised as pool repair we don’t really care to swim in the pool so no big deal but it was more like heavy construction with excavators tractors cement trucks etc. loud noise 7:30 in the morning not enjoyable at all we were totally missed lead on this

Not a family resort

There are two owners who are angry and don’t like children or rental families. They approach the children directly and it happened to multiple families during our stay when no one was doing anything wrong. They are aggressive and rude and the experience was terrible. We also got our rental moved by the property company and it resulted in us having to pack and move during the stay with no compensation for the inconvenience. The location is beautiful and other families in the building were friendly as were the staff in the office.
