Creekside Oasis with private hot tub

Spacious, eco friendly, 1 bedroom + den suite with all the custom comforts you would expect at a high end mountain resort accommodation. Fully stocked kitchen, cooking staples, coffee bar, large island for food prep and gathering. Cozy media room, reclining loungers, work desk and chair. Radiant floor heat throughout the suite. Patio doors in primary bedroom provide a picturesque view of green space oasis and flowing creek from the comfort of the hand crafted queen log bed. There are black out curtains, a comfy love seat, reading lamp, large wardrobe and dresser along with enough space for morning yoga sun salutations. Every attention to detail has been thoughtfully prepared from silky smooth bed linens, spa robes for the hot tub, kitchen staples, games, books, puzzles, and the comfort of a separate media room from the main living area. Just a few steps down from the patio deck are chairs for sitting along side the creek. A perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee in nature. You'll enjoy a soothing soak in the private hot tub after a day of play with all the fun activities there is to enjoy at Sun Peaks Resort. Creekside Oasis is just a few steps to the Burfield ski lift or 2 min. drive to main village centre for dining, shopping and resort activities along with biking, hiking, snowshoeing and walking trails directly from Creekside Oasis.

Please note: There is currently a housing construction project across the creek from the B&B. Daytime noise is variable. Excellent sound proofing within the B&B.

I highly recommend this property and you can't find a better location for a great winter ski vacation or a great summer golf and hiking vacation. The property has everything you need & Sun Peaks is wonderful!

Hot tub was a lifesaver on our multiday snowboard trip. What a beautiful place Leo and Mel have created. No where better to spend the holidays and Christmas - Mel and Leo are incredible hosts and the small details that show how much they care for their guests shine out in the small things. After a heavy snowfall on our way out to the ski hill we noticed they had taken the time to brush off our car's windows of snow. There were several small moments of care and thought that came throughout our stay and we had a wonderful christmas retreat here. Will definitely come back if we have the chance, Emily thinks Sun peaks may now be our favorite hill and im sure thats due in no small part of the hospitality we experienced here. Thank you Mel and Leo in creating such a beautiful place.

Creekside Oasis

Mel and Leo’s place in SunPeaks was perfect. Very quiet, well located and it came with everything we needed. The hot tub is an extra bonus. After getting stuck in a freak hailstorm on the mountain, the hot tub was fantastic. Leo’s travel tips came in handy and all the local advice was appreciated. Next time we will need to stay a bit longer.

This is an amazing retreat from the busy world!! The hosts were very, attentive and responsive to our questions and I cannot say enough about the hot tub.. wow!!! The kitchen was more than fully stocked with everything a person needs. After our first night we had an unfortunate incident at home and the kindness of the host and her generous offer was very comforting.Definitely will be back!!

This place was great. A well stocked kitchen, a hot tub, a little office space for working, a shuttle stop for the resort right across the street, and one of the area ski lifts just a short walk away. We will definitely come back.

My husband and I stayed there for our anniversary and we couldn't have loved it more. It was warm, welcoming, comfortable, and had everything we could have wanted. The space was tastefully decorated, full of personal touches, and was stocked with interesting books, games, puzzles, weights, yoga mats, and many beverage options. The private hot tub in the lovely setting of the back yard and near the creek was so relaxing. Can't get much better than enjoying a morning coffee at bistro set looking at the view or sitting in the chairs by the creek. We will be back for sure!

Ski Vacation

What a perfect spot to stay for our 2 week ski vacation at Sun Peaks! We really enjoyed the Jacuzzi hot tub after long days on the slopes. Peaceful backyard location made relaxing in hot tub extra enjoyable. The in resort shuttle stop is right in front of the property, so convenient that we never used our car. Would love to return!

Melanie and Leo Pouliot are the owner/operator/hosts of Creekside Oasis. They made Sun Peaks their full time residence in 2012. It has always been their dream to live full time at Sun Peaks Resort after skiing here for over 40 years as a family. They are absolutely thrilled to have created the newly renovated Creekside Oasis to share with guests from near and far.
Mel lives for skiing and everything outdoors. She is a retired holistic health practitioner & energy psychologist. A world traveller, yoga instructor and proud grandma of 3 boys. She is passionate about helping others and is thrilled to add being a host of Creekside Oasis in her mountain home retreat as an exciting addition to her robust lifestyle.
Leo is the ultimate outdoors enthusiast. A retired fishing guide, butcher and landscape company owner to now a ‘Piston Bully’ snow cat operator/manager for the resort. You will find Leo in the ‘shoulder seasons’ casting a fly rod on one of the many lakes in the area.

Why they chose this property

Mel and Leo chose this property for the peaceful environment, the surrounding beauty of the forest and mountains and the gentle sound of McGillvary Creek that continuously flows alongside their home. The kicker was the view of Tod Mountain and the Burfield chair lift along with the clear view of Expo and Challenger meadows, a few of their long time favourite ski runs. They love that they can ski back directly to their home and the ease of either a 5 minute walk to the Burfield lift or a quick 2 min free bus shuttle to the village center that picks up directly in front of their home.

What makes this property unique

They are confident guests will love Creekside Oasis. Situated in the forested creekside of Burfield Drive, the first residential neighbourhood in Sun Peaks. The guest suite has a private, separate access from the main house, private hot tub and peaceful nature surroundings. Sitting on the patio deck chairs or lounging on the couch in the great room offer a picturesque view of wildlife. Stellar Blue Jays reside at Sun Peaks year round and typically fly by daily. There are resident squirrels, a red tailed fox has been spotted on occasion and in the fall it's common to view a black bear or two meandering along the creek foraging for winter. The continuous flow of McGillvary Creek running alongside the home provides the relaxing feeling of peace and serenity.
