Quiet and relaxing

Enjoyed a peaceful week visiting family in the area with the condo as home base. Watched dolphins from the balcony several times and had beautiful sunsets.

Very Pleasant Stay

We were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful balcony view of the pool, lagoon and Gulf. We saw dolphins and manatee in the lagoon several times during our stay. The condo has been nicely updated and a perfect size for 2 couples. Beautiful heated pool. Enjoyable!

Beautiful view

We really enjoyed the view, and the pool area was fabulous. A few repairs are needed in the condo, some lights flickering and switches that don’t do anything. Sliding door in living room needs fixing-frame is coming off. Kim looked at it and did say it would be fixed. Bed in master bathroom was broken, I believe. The condo was well stocked with everything we needed and we felt very comfortable there. Mostly older folks which was just fine with us. Quiet and clean grounds. It was a wonderful vacation!

The place was not clean. The beds where horrible to sleep on. The air conditioner would not keep it cool. The door lock was not working correctly and not a good selection of things to watch in tv. The furniture was wore out and didn’t sit well at all. Won’t be back for sure

The euro style is odd.cabinets that open like a bus the freezer door does not fully open.the back door framing fell off and exposed the glass.the showers have curtains that don’t contain the shower water, the drain in the tub is slow and there is a slipping hazard in each shower .the dishwasher door would not close to slow the dishwasher to start. Electric switches were installed in odd places and upside down on the garbage disposal.the hot water is scolding hot! We showed up an the elevator was broke and we walked up 8 floors.ohhh and the last night the king bed frame seems to crack when I turned over. Not bad for$680 3 nights

We stayed for a month and was never contacted to address concerns. We had to buy toilet paper and cleaning supplies. The balcony doors are unsafe and the frames are falling apart. The place was filthy. I washed the windows, chairs and furniture. My wife washed the dishes, and sex stains off of the bedding. The coffee pot had never been cleaned. I had to buy light bulbs for a lamp. Soap scum was thick on sink drain and it took nearly 30 minutes to clean it off. Horrible experience. VRBO has proven to not be worthy of a stay. This was absolutely a horrible experience.

HOA harrassment

We were in town for a my mothers memorial held at a different location, but some family members came to pool with us afterward. My mentally handicapped cousin whom has a 5 pound service dog with tags on collar was harrassed for having him at the pool, was asked personal health questions by several residents to include HOA vice president whom started yelling to him from across the pool in front of everyone. I am guessing these people have never heard of a service dog! The pelicans that fly over the pool are 3 times this dogs size LOL! Plus my cousin never put him down. When we got that settled, they moved on to my other cousin and his wife asking if their baby had a swimmers diaper on. Also, around 8 at night, I was facetiming my 3 year old grandson from the balcony and I guess I was goo gooing my baby grandson too loudly for the old guy above me who yells please be quiet! All in all, Gulf Island Tennis Club is clean, the nature walk is nice, the rec room and gym is musty and outdated and most of the equipment is broken (so do not be sold on these amenities!). The condo we stayed in was clean, modern but the beds were very low to floor and hard as a rock. The property manager, Kim, is very helpful and nice and I will definitely seek her for rentals outside of this complex. Hudson is also a pretty nice area that I know well, I am originally from this general area,

Quiet piece of heaven

The property is a perfect getaway. No tourists and traffic was light. We saw dolphins as we drank our morning coffee. My only complaint is the door is very hard to open. We had to ask for help to figure it out. Would stay there again. The mattress were so comfortable.

Great unit - very quiet, nice pool, not so great surrounding neighboorhood

We stayed for about a week with our two teenage boys. The unit itself is updated, clean, plenty of space for our family of four, nice balcony overlooking the ocean, and a very nice large heated pool (bonus is that the pool is open until 10 on weekdays, 11 on weekends). The folks at the complex were all retirees so it’s a VERY quiet place. Every night we would go for a night swim and had the pool all to ourselves. There is nothing within walking distance. Depending on the type of vacation you’re planning this may work for you. Just make sure you rent a car or have transportation. For us it made for quite a lot of driving because we weren’t comfortable walking through the surrounding neighborhoods (the resort is nestled in the back of a pretty run down neighborhood) and had to drive around each day to find things to do. The unit is described well in the listing, it is what we were expecting, and it was an overall nice stay.

Perfect setting for quiet get-away in February

Updated condo; nice location, great heated outdoor pool. It was nice to have beach towels provided in condo. Complimentary packages of coffee, sugar, and tea were a nice touch. Washer/dryer in unit was a pleasant surprise (not listed). Nice furniture, comfortable beds. Awkward entry; hard to open the door. Hot water heater was set way too high, & temperature was difficult to regulate in showers & sinks.
