We recently stayed for 4 nights while visiting family. We had never been to the area and the cabin was perfect. It is beautiful, cozy and well equipped with everything you need. Bed was comfortable and we loved the electric fireplace downstairs and the loft area with large couch and big screen TV. Will definitely stay here again next time we visit!
We enjoyed a quick 2 night stay and would love to come back for a whole week. There are so many great sites to see there is never enough time. We will be back.
We had a a great time at the cabin, mostly in the day. The cabin is nice, we had fun in the loft area and the hot tub and outdoor area was so relaxing. The cabin was wonderful for the day. However, at night the master bed felt similar to sleeping on a picnic table. I wasn’t able to sleep the night. My husband did and woke up to horrible back pain. We tested all beds and they all felt about the same. We ended up sleeping head to head in the loft on the couch because that couch was more comfy than the bed. I would have rather not spent my anniversary sleeping head to head on a couch with my husband, not very romantic.

Hi Asia, we want our guests to rest easy when staying with us, and we're sorry that you experienced some issues during your trip. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
"That's great you enjoyed the cabin throughout the day, and relaxed in the hot tub! While mattress taste is subjective, we have never received any complaints about this in the past. However, we apologize that you were not completely comfortable and that our specific beds did not suit your personal preferences. Thank you for taking the time to write your review."

Nice Cabin, But Lots of Problems
My family and I stayed at the cabin for 6 nights. Upon our arrival, there was a large string of lights on the porch railing, with several broken bulbs. The string of lights was not working. Notified contact person - no response. There was no hammock on the porch, only the frame. Entered through N. side door - screen door would not close tight, or lock. Smoke detector on the ceiling by the washer/dryer and hot water heater, was missing. Opened the sliding door in kitchen area and screen would not lock. Main ceiling fan on upper ceiling did not work (only the light). The ceiling fan in the E. bedroom did not work (only the light). Other ceiling fans rattled and shook when turned on medium to high. The portable "evaporative air conditioner" was basically a floor fan. It did not have water connected to it, and it did not add any cooling effect except for the fan circulating the air. Looked for the fire extinguisher, and found it in a box under the stairs. It should have been mounted to a wall and easily accessible. There were no hand rails on the stairway. It was difficult/awkward to walk up and down the stairs (especially going down). It would have been nice to keep the patio door, or the N. door, open at night, to let the cool air in, but since the screen doors didn't lock, or secure tightly, we closed the doors. The S. door did not have a screen door, so we couldn't leave that one open, either. The N. bedroom was cozy, but there were white stains on the comforter. We used the jacuzzi, but the temperature stayed between 99-103 degrees no matter what temperature you set it at. The kitchen, the living room and loft seating areas were nice.
The cabin was easy to access off Route 260. Overall, we had an enjoyable time, but the non working items (ceiling fans, screen door locks, string of lights, etc.) should have been in good working order, since we paid a considerable amount of money (including a bunch of fees) to rent the cabin.

Hello Robert, thanks for letting us know about your stay! The owner wanted to address the items you mentioned:
- We sincerely apologize for the inconveniences you experienced during your stay in the home. Our Guest Contact received a fyi text from you about the missing bulbs on the string of lights. The Guest Contact understood the fyi text to be a reminder to fix this issue after your stay to avoid disturbing your time in the home.
- Safety and sanitization are two of our top priorities for all of our guests. The hammock is located in the laundry room with the other outdoor games/supplies. We store it there to ensure it is clean and dry for guests to use upon their arrival.
- The screen doors are not meant to lock and we ask that guests do not leave the doors open overnight due to wildlife in the area. All windows in the home are screened, we ask that guests open the windows, and use ceiling fans or the portable evaporative cooler to cool the house. We provide instructions on how to do so in the Welcome Book as we encourage guests to review the Welcome Book or call the Guest Contact if they have any issues while at the property.
- We do not provide a smoke detector in the laundry room and this can be seen in the pictures on the listing. There are smoke and carbon monoxide detectors on both levels of the property and we have a working fire extinguisher as well.
- We have inspected all of the ceiling fans in the home and they are all in working order.
- We note in the property description that the home does not have central ac. The evaporative cooler can be seen in the listing photos, and it is only meant to cool the room that it is in. Water can be added to the tank and a full tank will provide a cooling effect for up to three hours.
- We work with a professional cleaning company that cleans the home before each guest's arrival. We keep fresh linens and a clean comforter on the beds in the home. After your departure, we immediately checked the comforter for stains and we could not locate any stains.
- We provide instructions on how to use the hot tub in the Welcome Book. Those instructions state that the hot tub is set to 98 degrees upon guests' arrival, how to increase the temperature, how long it takes for the hot tub to reach max temperature and that the max temperature is 104 degrees.
We do all we can to provide the best possible stay for our guests and we are confident future guests will have excellent stays!
The property was very clean! We enjoyed the chairs to sit on the porch. I did enjoy the hot tub one day. Fairly clean hot tub.
Beds were comfortable. Lots of games and things to do. We enjoyed a puzzle and the dart board.
Private area, quiet, and relaxing. Everything supplied to enjoy a weekend get away to escape the heat in Phoenix. Convenient location, next to restaurants, cafe, and a couple of markets for food to cook at cabin.
We loved our stay at the Bearsquatch cabin! Perfect for our small family of 4 with little boys. We got lucky and arrived just after it had snowed so we got to play in the snow all day! The hot tub was nice to recover in afterwards. The kitchen was well apointed. We also enjoyed eating out at some of the local cafes for breakfast and other places for dinner. My husband and I enjoyed playing darts and shuffleboard after the kids had gone to bed. The master front bedroom mattress is a bit firm and lumpy but that might be our only negative from this trip!
Great cabin in northern AZ. About a hour away from Petrified Forest National Park. Clean. Great communication. Hot tub is amazing after a day of hiking.
