Lovely home. Would have been nice if linen was available and we didn’t have to bring our own. But overall it was a great stay. We left some charcoal for the smoker for the next guests.

Nice place

We found this property to be very clean and comfortable, with high ceilings giving its rooms a spacious feeling. The kitchen was very well equipped for the two dinners we prepared. The neighborhood was quiet at this time of year. We took some walks with our dog on the trail that runs behind the property.

We’ve stayed in Ocean Pines before which is why we booked the same area. However, this house was not very clean. Everything else was ok.

Off Beach Living at Ocean City, MD

I was looking to get away for a week and since I planned to invite my two sisters, Ocean Pines was perfect because we are split between Philly and DC and we don’t all love the beach. I enjoy Ocean City Maryland more than beaches further north (boo NJ) because no one bothers you for beach tags (none required), and the lifeguards don’t yell if you go to far away. My youngest sister came on the weekend and managed a few sunny days in the 60s on the beach (she likes walking). I was able to run and bike out of the house without worrying about traffic and managed a swim in the ocean (in my wetsuit of course, Great Triathalon Training!). My oldest sister basically stayed at the house the entire time and worked in quiet bliss (Wi-Fi was great). The open kitchen and dining area provided everything that we needed to cook and eat and there was plenty of room on the massive table to enjoy a take out Maryland crab feast (Crabs to Go is close just remember to grab plenty of Kraft paper from the roll next to their take-out window). The house was nicely decorated (love the octopus motif!) and had plenty of room for us to spread out. I’m sure that the bunk room would be great for kids (if you’re into that). Laundry is always a plus because I like warm dry towels (not sure why anyone lives without a towel warmer), and the closest were full of extra sheet and towels (can’t imagine who needs that many towels). Yeah, if all you want is to be on the beach with all the noise and people, then this may not be the right place for for you. If you want a quiet get-a-way that’s close to all that beachy stuff then this is an awesome place!

Great Getaway!

Safe neighborhood for bike riding. Lots of walking trails. Convenient to shopping and dining. Short ride to the community pools and beach. Comfortable furnishings and rugs. The kids love the fuzzy blankets in the bunk room! Lots of family and adult games and puzzles for nights and rainy days. Luxurious master bath with great water pressure. Wifi works great!
