Located in the serene Eurong Second Valley on the world heritage-listed Fraser Island, now known as K’gari. This peaceful bushland apartment sits on the Eastern side of the Island, approximately 25km inland from Kingfisher Bay Resort or 35km from Hook Point, where the Inskip barge docks. Please note that due to the lack of sealed roads on Kgari, a 4WD with high clearance is essential to access this unique destination.
Bow-Allum Place offers two tri-level apartments, and this booking is specifically for Apartment #1, capable of comfortably accommodating up to 10 guests. For larger groups of up to 20 people, it is possible to reserve both apartments together (advance booking is required to secure both units simultaneously).
The apartment features three bedrooms, all with built-in wardrobes.
Bedroom 1 boasts a Queen Bed with a Ceiling Fan for added comfort.
Bedroom 2 includes a Double Bed, also equipped with a Ceiling Fan.
Bedroom 3 is perfect for a group of friends or children, as it offers 2 Triple Bunks (Double on the bottom & Single on top), accommodating up to 6 guests, with a wall fan for ventilation.

The spacious Living & Dining area is well-appointed, featuring a smart TV with satellite free-to-air channels, perfect for entertainment during downtime, along with board games for some friendly competition.
A fully self-contained Kitchen awaits, complete with a gas stove top & oven, large electric fridge/freezer, and a stove-top kettle for all your culinary needs. To ensure a comfortable stay, all windows and doors are screened, keeping insects at bay.
Outside, you'll find an outdoor gas BBQ (gas bottle supplied) and a clothesline for your convenience.
The front verandah offers outdoor seating and can be gated to prevent any curious visits from local wildlife like Goannas. We kindly ask that guests refrain from feeding the local wildlife, as it is crucial for their safety and the preservation of our timber railings from the cockatoos.
As an eco-friendly property, Bow-Allum relies on a solar-powered system, making use of the abundant sunshine on Fraser Island. To support our sustainable approach, we kindly request guests to follow guidelines and avoid using appliances that contain a heating element or draw continuous power, such as hairdryers, straighteners, portable fridges, rice cookers, toasters, coffee machines, kettles, etc. Charging phones and laptops is permitted but advised to be turned off and unplugged when not in use, along with all lights and fans, particularly on overcast days, to prevent overloading the solar-powered system. The washing machine and vacuums are best used on sunny days to ensure efficient battery recharge.
Bow-Allum operates on a septic system, including the toilet, kitchen sink, and shower. We kindly request guests to be mindful of not disposing of foreign objects down the toilet or cooking oils down the sink. Please avoid using dettol/bleach/antibacterial/disinfectant products, as these could harm the essential bacteria responsible for breaking down the septic waste.
Please note that while we provide tea towels, mattress protectors, pillows, pillow protectors, and extra blankets...
You must bring your own sheets, pillowcases, towels, and bath mats.
As an older-style property surrounded by bushland on a remote Island, Bow-Allum may show signs of wear and tear. However, we assure you that the natural beauty of the location and the peaceful ambiance more than make up for it.
Experience the tranquility and charm of Kgari at Bow-Allum Place, your perfect eco-holiday destination.

We had a lovely stay! Beautiful place, all amenities available. We loved the huge framed map of the island, which we used almost daily to show the places we were going to visit. It’s a clever and elegant touch to the holiday home. Thank you very much for allowing us to stay, we’d come back in a heartbeat.
Great location, comfortable property. We didnt read the smallprint to bring our own linen, but you can rent it there. Very helpful owner and property manager.
We had both houses booked out, our families come up every year.Houses have recently been updated and they had everything we neededLook forward to staying again
This property we felt needed a few extra things. This included a range hood of some sort in the kitchen with a roof fan!! Cooking in there was really really hot!! Parking didn’t suit how many people could stay there if a couple families stayed. Bug this sometimes couldn’t be helped. Shower screen door needed replacing. Water went everywhere. But overall we enjoyed our stay! Was great. Thank you 😊

Bow Allum
The house is spacious and centraly located.
But their were a few things that can be improved:
- the kitchen was good, plenty of dishes but they were dirty and needed to be washed before use.
- bathroom outdated. Airvent was covered with dust and after washing our clothes in the washing machine they were still dirty. Also they washing line out the back is very unsteady.
- we could not use the bbq since it was very dirty.
- bedrooms are spacious and good but all the fans were covered in dust and there were many dead and alive bugs. Many extra blanket and pillows.
- living room is spacious but the couch was sagging and you were sitting on the metal frame.
We are wondering what the service fee was for.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay at Fraser Island but woud have been perfect if the house would have been clean.

Hi Marlies,
Wow I was very disappointed to read your review regarding your stay at Bow allum place, especially as it was the first and only communication I had received from you prior and during your stay. Keeping our guests happy and providing clean accommodation is of the highest importance to me. In your public review you noted several cleaning issues, I can only hope this has been an overlook from our cleaners but it would of been super easy to rectify on the day if I had of been notified. I encourage all guests to contact me should they have any issues at all, I am easy to deal with and very obliging to make guests feel at home and comfortable during their stay. Yes the bathroom is outdated, it's the original from when Bow Allum was first built, but this should not of been a surprise as I have all current photos on my listing. Yay to bathroom renovations May 2023!
Bugs both dead and alive, the joys of being located on a remote island surrounded by bushland, keeping the screens shut at all times will help prevent this from happening. As for the washing machine, YES! it is on the smaller side and sounds like it may of been overloaded. As we are completely off grid and rely on tank water, to have mainland comforts such as large washing machines just isn't a possibility. As for the couch and clothesline, thank you for notifying me I will be sure to check out both items to ensure they are usable for future guests. Lastly, the service fee, this is stayz charge for using their platform definitely not a charge on my behalf.
Great value for price. Friendly owner.
TV was not working
A microwave would be a great idea
Aircon would make it nicer.
Was reasonably clean - Shower and dishes could have been cleaned better
Otherwise great place. We also arrived earlier than check in time as advised earlier which caused some confusion, but they accommodated us
Had a lovely stay. The unit was equiped with everything we required for a comfortable stay on the Island. Bow Allum is a great base to stay to explore the Island!
