Summary:
Sun-bleached vibes and breezy beachside feels... Reflecting a modern Australian coastal lifestyle, and oozing classic Palm Springs inspiration, this house can only be described as cool. From its resort-style outdoor entertainment room, and bright and airy interior, this home is one you can’t wait to explore. First, you’ll be taken with the breezeblock walls, then what lies beyond the front door will take your breath away. Centrally located 350m to Fisherman’s Beach, holidays can be this easy.
The Space:
The north-facing front deck is set amongst lush gardens under the dappled light of a soaring gum tree, complete with a beach shower. Relaxing on the hanging chair, watching the leaves sway in the breeze and listening to the sound of the sea in the background, will be your favourite thing to do. It’s impossible to pass by this beach house in Torquay without feeling the warmth of its irresistible retro charm. The calm atmosphere extends inside. The mood within has a restful palette, with whisper-light curtaining ushering through breezes. In the kitchen, an oversized island bench steals the show.
Sink into the sublime chaise lounge and read a book. Light the fire on a cold day, and feel the warmth of the north sunshine as it reaches in through the windows. Watch a movie (Smart TV - log in with your own Netflix/streaming account details to resume your own viewing history), or head out to the deck and watch TV from the indoor-outdoor room with BBQ. If you’re dreaming of a great entertaining space with seamless transition of indoor and outdoor spaces, then this is the perfect layout for that. There are so many special ways to interact with the spaces, all in the safety of a secure, fenced yard. You can easily keep a close eye on the kids as they play on the lawn (NOTE: *NOTE: Play equipment/cubby house/trampoline have been removed, and replaced with a Swing Set), while you sit at the gigantic timber setting or servery window bar.
Inside, the home is layered with earthy textures and lots of greenery. The living space opens completely to outdoor spaces and the breeze blocks screen for privacy. True to the Palm Springs style, the style embraces a backdrop of white on white. The use of pastel hues makes the spaces pop, while rattan pieces, textural furnishings, mood-setting artworks and plenty of plants unite the spaces and amplify the holiday vibe. The home beckons light into every nook of the home, kept cool in summer with split system heating-cooling in the main living hub and fans in the bedrooms.
In the bedrooms, a softly luxurious feel has been created, with lush garden views from every window. A highlight of both form and function is the bathroom’s innovative central vanity with handmade pink tiles and skylight above, creating a dramatic bathing experience under dual rainfall shower heads.
All four bedrooms are beautifully appointed with white hotel quality sheets and towels (BYO beach towels). We have done all we can to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The master has a King-size bed, TV (Apple TV) and walk-in robe.
