We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, it felt really homely. The house was very well equipped, especially the kitchen, and the beds were very comfy. The fire was very cozy and the view lovely! It was also really great being able to take our dog.
Property was great, good for our dog, lovely views out to sea. Comfie beds, well equipped kitchen, good TV access to apps. Weather very windy unfortunately. Host communicated in timely manner.Improvement opportunity: No shampoo and shower very slippery

We had kangaroos hopping by, and a big beautiful echidna come visiting who stayed around for hours at a time, heaps of birds, gorgeous sunsets great place to base our 2 day stay.
Amazing location!! We love being able to walk down to the beach with the dog and then wander back up and enjoy watching the sunsets sitting on the deck.
We stayed at this property in July of last year and loved it. Our kids were keen to return in summer to swim at the beautiful Dennes Point beaches and we weren't disappointed. We enjoyed the amazing deck for a bbq, reading in the hammock, and watching the stunning sunsets. Thanks so much for a lovely summer break - we'll definitely be back!
Beautiful calming house in a lovely quite location. It had everything we needed. The hosts communicated well and were easy to get hold of if we needed to.
We would stay again in the future.
Smart contemporary house in remote Bruny Island location with excellent water views and an effective and easy to enjoy wood heater.
Wonderful bird life with wallabies regularly on the property.
We felt comfortable the moment we walked through the door! Great decor, amazing view and every amenity you could possibly need and lot’s more! Silke & Nick are great hosts and we can thoroughly recommend - we’ll be back if they’ll have room to fit us in when everyone discovers their hospitality- thanks for sharing your home with us!
This property is in a quiet area and it was perfect to relax and get away for a few days. Cosy with everything you need. The verandah has fabulous ocean views and a cool breeze which was a great place to chill. Kitchen is well stocked and the bed is soft and comfy. Lounge is quite low so may not be comfortable for older folks or those with mobility issues. We appreciated the thoughtful decor including all the books, national geographics and board games.
Beautiful views, huge balcony to entertain. The kitchen was very well appointed even with decent knives that actually worked! The beds were extremely comfortable as was the large lounge. Very stylish fire place that we enjoyed lighting up one night. Although pet friendly, we decided not to let the pooch out as the fence on the side of one of the neighbours wasn't there but the property was so near the beach anyway. A very enjoyable stay.

Gemma and her family were wonderful guests. Communication was easy and the property was left in great shape. It was a pleasure hosting you.
We loved our stay here . The house was cozy and clean with the most comfortable beds . The view of the water was lovely and the wood fire a treat . The house had all the comforts of home . The fancy coffee machine was amazing and we even mastered it thanks to the utube instructions . . Thankyou Silke and Nick for sharing your home with us .
Very comfortable and well equiped property with great quirky decor. The property was perfect for my mother-in-law who has mobility issues as it was all on one level. She was able to walk easily from the car onto the deck, through the house and out to the covered verandah with water views. The fact the property allowed a pet (dog) was the clincher. We also enjoyed the outdoor shower and proper coffee machine, particularly as the local cafe was closed. We would definitely stay again.

Less than expected
While clean, there is no hot tub - this was the reason we picked the property to rent - and chopping firewood in the rain wasn't our idea of a great way to begin our stay. The key is in a precarious position, it's very easy to drop both key and lock-box front down a steep slope so be careful.
There is no storage for clothes except a small hanging rack, Netflix is there but the connection requires a phone call with the owner to initiate it, and we needed to have separate water for drinking. The place looks great, wonderful to photograph, but the furniture isn't not comfortable to sit or sleep on. We loved visiting the island, but wouldn't stay here again.

We do not advertise a hot tub, so we are unsure where the expectation comes from. There is plenty of firewood for the exceptional fireplace and it has been delivered to size. We have used the wood with no complications. No chopping necessary. We have had over 110 satisfied Airbnb and Vrbo guests through our property and the key was never dropped. Netflix is for free and occasionally guest lock out of it when they leave the property. If this occurs a quick call to us will get you watching Netflix in no time. All of Bruny Island relies on tank water, which is drinkable. We will send a info sheet through when you book with us were we advise of grocery shopping needs. We have had plenty of guests stating that the bed's and couch are very comfortable.
We realise not everybody has the same taste or experience and are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay.
Great place for a family of four to explore Bruny Island. The house was in a quiet area with fantastic views, an abundance of wildlife and a short walk to the beach. The house was clean, and the kitchen very well stocked and the communication from the host was excellent.
