We stayed for a week in this comfortable efficiency just outside the Rumbling Bald Resort. We enjoyed the resort amenities and using this comfortable efficiency as our base for local travels. Haven't slept this well in years - comfy, quiet. Highly recommend!
Found the rental as described, very close to amenities, clean and comfortable. Only 2 suggestions: would be lovely to have a ceiling fan on the balcony porch and need a seperate set of towels for each renter. I come to Lake Lure every year with a friend and will consider renting here again.

It was great for our needs, but needed to be cleaned better. We would have loved to use the outdoor patio, however, it was COVERED in spider webs.

Condo was lovely, bed was super super comfortable! Property manager gave me wrong access code, and host was not responsive until day I arrived, and he gave me different access code which did work. Once I was in, my stay was very nice. Host should provide some basics like salt and pepper. Just a little too much anxiety and worry because I wasn't sure I would get in that night. Again, great bed!!!
Rumbling bald resort is awesome. I was impressed by all the amenities and the value. My only concern was that we didn't know exactly how to get to the resort check in from the condo but we did figure it out. Some of the resort staff were not helpful (gave bad information or confusing information). We had 2 girls ages 11 and 12 who are exhausted from tubing, ziplining and swimming. Its an awesome place for families! And a beard that visits every night.

Needs improvements
Lock was broken
Ants in kitchen and bathroom sink
Toilet handle broken so we took off the commode lid to pull the chain
Sliding door difficult to open and close.
Porch light very dim and did not help with opening the door at night.
Sheets and towels were clean and smelt clean.
Place was clean.

It was good not great
The front deck needs a serious pressure wash. The light in the vanity needed replaced. The back deck would have been a nice place to have a cup of coffee but was so dirty. I had to wipe down the banister and all the furniture. I will say the rest of the condo was clean. I wouldn’t stay there again.

Not What was Advertised
We didn't expect to be in a quad with someone below and beside us. The HVAC was at a motel level at best and extraordinarily noisy. We had noisy street traffic behind us and not the environment promised.
Loved our stay in the area. Was surprised that pool and amenities were not easily within walking distance. The condo was fine, but could use some updating. Coffee pot needs a new location and possibly leaving a few brochures and non perishable amenities like salt, pepper, tissues, coffee pack etc would have been appreciated. The blanket needs replaced…has a number of holes in it. The bed was comfortable and it was nice having a separate sink and dressing area. The porch and back balcony areas were perfect. The landscaping was impeccable and all exterior areas were well maintained.
For the price it was well worth it and we would recommend it.
The studio is cute but needs some TLC. The bed is broken and is sitting on blocks. The couch is made of an itchy fabric. The blinds are broken so the sun is so bright in the mornings you can’t sleep in. When trying to fix the bed we noticed it was really dirty underneath. We didn’t complain because we were only there for a short stay.

The unit was very clean and comfy. Very prompt response from the host when we asked to stay an additional night. Very happy there was a smart TV and excellent WiFi. We will love to stay again. Also enjoyed the cookies the host left and the Keurig coffee maker.
The condo was clean and in a good location. It was very comfortable for two. However it was not within walking distance to the lake or beach. Having access to the resort amenities was a plus. The indoor pool, jacuzzi, steam and sauna were very nice.
This was a great location and it allowed for use of the Lake Lure resort which included the pools, steam room, sauna, beach, mini golf, etc. As for the unit, it had its ups and downs. The bed was extremely comfortable with a great pillow top. I slept very well. The negatives were that the unit needed some repairs. The drain was a bit clogged; the unit had many ants in it, the blinds didn't open and close easily, the stick that turns the blinds was broken off. The decorating was cute, so with just a bit of TLC and repairs to it, it would once again be a great tiny condo for a short stay.
