This was a very spacious property that was ample space for our large team! The outdoor space was beautiful as well! We really enjoyed our stay at Chinook lodge and hope to do this again next year!

When traveling with a large group to Mount Hood to hit the slopes. This is definitely the place to stay. The fully loaded kitchen came in handy if you like cooking. Love this place!!

Our school group had a great stay! Lots of space and bathrooms for our large group. We had a plumbing/bathroom issue and the property manager sent out a plumber immediately to resolve the issue. We will be back!

Hi Sarah! Thank you for your 5-star review. We are so glad our beautiful lodge accommodated your group. We loved hosting you, and hope you will return!
We had a blast spending time together as a family at this beautiful location! The kitchen was awesome and the seating for everyone to gather and enjoy a meal was perfect. The weather was a little wild that weekend and we lost power, but the host was very attentive and made sure that we knew where flashlights were and kept in contact with us as they got information on the outages. Would definitely recommend for large gatherings!

Hi Bailey! We are so glad you had a memorable and enjoyable Christmas getaway with your family - minus the weather. We loved hosting you, and hope you will return!
This house was huge! It was slightly older and little more lived in than is pictured but was able to accommodate our group. The location is good, lots of snow to play in around the house. Procedures and directions need to be updated in the email that is sent. The kitchen is huge but needs more pots and pans and cooking utensils to accommodate a large group. The host was very responsive and available 24/7 which was super helpful when we had questions and needed help. I would definitely recommend this house for any big group and would stay here again.

Hi Stacey! Thank you for your 5-star review. We're so glad to hear the home had plenty of space and that the snowy location made for a fun stay. We appreciate your feedback regarding the kitchen supplies and check-in info—this helps us improve, and we’ll be sure to review and update where needed. It was a pleasure hosting you, and we’d love to welcome you back again in the future!
Overall the property was good. There was enough room, dishwasher was super easy to use and plenty of room for our family. One shower knob was broken and water was burning hot, I could not shower. There were lots of carpenter ants as well. The place was perfect for our group size but needs some TLC.
We decided to get as many families together to celebrate one our kids birthday. The property was beautiful! And we had such an amazing weekend. Only a few things to note, one of the bathroom sinks had no water, some of the dishes were not clean, but we just washed them ourselves. The temperature in the hot tub was not accurate (barely body temp), and it seemed to be leaking somewhere because the water was low and there was ice all around it. But it was charming, the rooms were clean, and it was pretty roomy!

Great location but poorly maintained
The size was incredible and accommodated our group nicely. The linen was clean and having a bathroom in every room was perfect. However, the initial impression was not great. Parts of the metal roof are missing and hanging off and all the paint is chipping. The kitchen oven display was broke making cooking a challenge. The kitchen cookware is not adequately stocked for a large group as well as much if it being dirty requiring washing before use.

Overall, my group of 16 female friends had a WONDERFUL time at this property!
The pros:
Big spacious house with a commercial sized kitchen (OMG the industrial dishwasher is a dream!)
Comfy beds and lots of them!
Bathrooms galore!
Hot tub is divine
The LAND! Seriously, the forest walks are heaven
Fireplace is also a big bonus
The cons:
It's RIGHT next to the highway, which wasn't clear in the listing - and it's noisy. Very, very noisy.
The kitchen is not well stocked with pots/pans for a large sized group - plenty of plates and cups but not a lot of cooking gear for a kitchen this size
We loved this experience though and we are most grateful :)

Hi Tina! We are so glad you had an enjoyable and comfortable getaway with friends. We appreciate your feedback and will have our local team check on the kitchen inventory. We loved hosting your group and hope you will book with us again!
Overall we had an amazing time at the Chinook lodge. Our group was able to fit into this space really well had a great weekend. The kitchen was fantastic and worked so well for our huge group.
Cleanliness was pretty good for the most part but when we took a closer look at a few things we were surprised that they weren’t quite right.
Only things to note are this home definitely needs some small fixes. A bathroom door frame is coming apart, paint peeling off, and things aren’t as pristine or cozy as it appears in the pictures.
That was a little disappointing but we also understand that with it being an older house there are things that don’t keep as well. We really did have a great time and are so thankful for your space!

Wow, did Chinook Lodge exceed out expectations! Every bedroom is a suite with its own bathroom, making it perfect for all of the families to have their own space. The gathering space was large and comfortable with multiple seating areas. The kitchen is a commercial kitchen which made whipping up large meals a breeze. The hot tub was great to relax in at the end of a day on the mountain. We will be coming back every year! This place was perfect for us!
