We had a good time at the cottage. The beds are very comfortable and the fire is great. Fridge is very small, other than that everything we need was there.
The Classic Charming Cottage in Peel Forest is a very special place for a holiday. The accommodation is very comfortable and is situated in the heart of woodland with bird song, peak scenery and magnificent trees. It is an ideal holiday location for anyone wishing to escape the rush of urban life and would like a relaxing quite break. I would recommend the Classic Charming Cottage to anyone looking for an enjoyable break in a superb area of the South Island.
Pet friendly older but classic bach. Need better lights in lounge hard to read at night as only one dim light. Also suggest a bread knife and foldable outdoor chairs so you can sit outside and move around in the sun. Quiet location and lovely that you can take dogs.
Such a delightful cottage- cosy, cute and restful.

The double bed we used had serios roll together causing difficulty sleeping. The shower, over the bath was quite dangerous to use and there was numerous trip hazards with varying floor levels & loose mats. The fridge froze our food. We totally accept it was an old, kiwi bach but the price was equal to well appointed motels.
Very cosy and tidy cottage. The beds were comfy and the fireplace heated the whole house very quickly. Plenty of walks and adventures to be had nearby. Orari gorge was beautiful.
Thanks Kris, we had such a wonderful couple of days in your gorgeous little cottage.
So cosy, clean and wonderfully retro.
Absolutely loved the incredible bush walks and was awesome being able to have our dog with us 😊

We found the house very comfortable and warm with having the wood burner. Beds were good and a useful kitchen.
There was a good stock of wood for the fire.
Great stay at Peel Forest, warm fire with plenty of wood organised and a cute little kitchen too. Everything was well kept and we had a lovely stay.
Thanks so much!

We had a really lovely stay in the bach! It was private and cosy. The house seemed cool at first but warmed up to be really snug with the fire. Thank you!
We had a super stay at this characterful cottage. It was welcoming and comfortable, clean, very well equipped for our needs and in peaceful surroundings, with a secure garden and lots of lovely walks on the doorstep. We would definitely like to go again sometime.

Thanks Christine,
So pleased you enjoyed your stay and appreciated your feedback re blinds !
We loved the location and enjoyed spreading a rug out on the back lawn to just relax and take in the forest environment. The birdsong in the morning was amazing. The property owners were fantastic with their communication and very caring when checking on our dog after she had a bit of a mishap. Thank you.
Nice country cottage. Nothing fancy, but just what we needed to connect as a family and enjoy the nature. Wonderful birdsong. Wee bit of baby proofing needed though
