Perfect for a small group looking to stay near the sights but off the beaten path
Beautiful and very responsive owner Lia made the booking, check-in and check-out process easy and quick. The property is gorgeous, with an incredible sunset from the patio and 15min to major breweries and towns. A truly unforgettable bachelor’s trip!

Very pleasant place and not far from regional attractions.
Peaceful and relaxing retreat. Note: one of the bedrooms was not private.
Walk along path at back of property was nice bonus. Host was very lovely to deal with.

Good location, near Sandbanks and wineries. No tv, no wifi, if you look for enternainment, it's probably not the good place for you. Comfort is average. Home appliances, beds, couch... Everything is outdated, but founctional. Host is very nice. I would recommend this place for short stay.
Lia was the perfect host, greeting us, outlining how our VRBO worked and responded to all requests professionally.
Quiet, clean, good beds, linens, towels, etc. Fridge a bit small so we brought coolers.
Not on the main drag, so we enjoyed the Bird sanctuary, Pt Petre for hikes, birding and daily swims.
We were hoping for more from Picton and Wellington, but loved our refuge with Lia and tasting their wine.
A delight

It was a beautiful, quiet place to stay right on the family's winery. Close to many wineries and breweries (5-20 mins drive to many places), but not really walkable- in the country. There was a fire pit and "water park" listed, but there is no water park/water games or fire pit, although the family did bring over their own fire pit for us. There was stove but it was not ready to use/near a plug - there was a hot plate and toaster oven. The fridge is very small, some things we could fit in that we brought. It really was a great place- old cheesemakers house, cute, quiet and nice relaxing views, but some of the amenities could have been more clear/temp not working etc.
Thanks for a great stay!

Very pretty Home. Unfortunately, no Air conditioning and it's been very hot so even the Fans that were provided did not cool the house - so sleeping was not very good. Also - the house inside has many ceilings that are slanted - and so all 4 of us did hit our heads often. Going down the stairs was very awkward as there was no Padding at all on the ceiling and we had to step down the stairs very awkwardly - not great. The bathroom was very awkward as well. You had to be really careful getting off and on toilet - as you always hit your head on slanted wall. There is 1 Mirror in house - and that was also not great. We could have used a microwave - but there was not one. The Beds were not that comfortable - one had the springs digging into your body. The window coverings let in all the light - and that also made it difficult to sleep. The place was clean - so that was nice. Being beside a Winery - we hoped that a bottle might be given - as a nice token of staying at the Property (many places do this) but there was not one. Very quiet area - which was nice and you could see the stars at night. I would not stay here again in the Summer - no Air conditioning. I would also recommend window coverings that stop the light from coming in. I would also recommend some coffee for your guests - and a nice bottle of wine - so people taste your wine and then probably will buy some. Lia was very nice and it was an easy check in. Lia was also good at communication.

Thanks for your comments Nancy. It’s unfortunate that your stay coincided with a heatwave as the fans are usually sufficient. Toaster oven & range provided in unit are good substitutes for a microwave. We do offer free wine tastings to our guests during their stay - if your weekend schedule doesn’t allow time to visit our Tasting Shed during open hours, we’re happy to oblige even outside of hours of operation upon request. 🙂
