Convenient spot to stay for Pax Unplugged

This is a pretty bare minimum slightly overpriced place to stay for PAX unplugged or other Pennsylvania Convention Center events. It is within 1 block of the Convention Center. The apartment had shampoos and soaps that were empty upon arrival and the beds laid on the floor with stained padded bumpers that were disgusting. It was pretty quiet though.

Disappointed in VRBO

Stayed at the VRBO while taking a class at Jefferson. Arrived at the apartment and found the door wide open and no one there. Freaked me out and looked through all the closets to ensure no one was in the apartment. Had to call the owner/service within 5 minutes of entering the apartment because it was dirty. Floor was really sticky throughout the entire apartment. There were bits of dirt on the floors, very dirty rugs (streaks of mud), dirt on walls, and the bathrooms were not thoroughly clean with pink mold and black mold in the grout and around the bottom of the bathtubs. The service/owner was quick to send his cleaning team back who was very kind but only "washed" the floor again with water. Also I sent several notices to the owner that there would be 2 people rather than 1 person staying in the apartment and they never returned my communications. They only provided two bath towels and two wash clothes for a 4 day stay which clearly is not enough. The cleaner was kind enough to get us a few more towels from the cleaning closet. The listing said "towels provided" and there were no towels provided for the kitchen, no hand towels or floor bath mats/towels. We were told to use our bath towels for kitchen and cleaning up. Also the sponge left in the kitchen was not new had clearly had been used to clean the kitchen as it was wet. For those that have mobility issues, the beds are pretty much on the ground on very low, flat platforms. Lastly there were some security issues with the building as someone else in the building turned the lock to prop open the door which allowed anyone to enter the building. This is not the most safe neighborhood as there were some altercations right outside the condo building while we stayed there. So overall all though it is in an awesome proximity for school and any conferences and we have appreciated having 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. I would not recommend anyone staying there.
