This cozy cottage is located within walking distance to all the fun summer activities - Holland State Park and Lake Michigan, Lake Macatawa, Ottawa Beach Inn, The General Store, and Mount Pisgah. Enjoy the many bike and walking paths connecting parks along the shoreline Award winning downtown Holland is only a short drive as well.

This cottage has been recently updated and offers a main floor bedroom and full bath and 2 additional bedrooms on the second floor with 1/2 bath. Enjoy your morning coffee or family cookout in the private courtyard. Perfect spot for your summer plans!

PARKING
There is space for up to two vehicles. Guests are responsible for finding parking in an alternate location for any additional cars.

This property is managed locally by BVW Unsalted Vacations Property Management in Holland, MI. We provide all professionally laundered linens, bath and beach towels, and a starter supply of paper and cleaning products along with emergency maintenance services.

Family beach getaway

We had the best time staying here! We had fun deciding who had better ice cream since there were a couple of places within minutes of the house. The walking path to the beach was also a huge bonus. Really a great place to stay for a family who wants time to relax. Also a short drive into the downtown area. Would recommend!!

Nice Location

Location is good and house was clean. The bed in the main bedroom needs replacing. It was caving in in the middle, which made for a few uncomfortable nights of sleep. I think they should close the partially open wall in the second bedroom upstairs. It's SO loud in that room because it's open to the main room. Shouldn't be too hard to close it up.

The Best Location and Perfect Family House

We've been to Michigan several times and this was definitely THE BEST LOCATION and overall experience we've ever had. It's right across from The General Store and quick walk to beach. It's a busy area, but it quiets after 10 pm, so no problem sleeping. We felt so connected to the beach and all the little businesses along the main drag. It's an adorable neighborhood, and the house itself was perfect. There was the exact right amount of room for our family of four. I worried that upstairs would be hot b/c A/C was set high when we got there, but it cooled off when we turned the temperature down and was perfectly comfortable up there. If we come back to Michigan, we want to stay here again for sure.

Great location, nice accommodations

This is the third different house we have stayed at in this area. Great location and rental group was very responsive when a small issue arose. The only downside was that one of the rooms upstairs is more of a loft versus a bedroom since the wall against the stairway is partially open - so our two children sleeping in that room got woken up earlier than they would have preferred each morning because the noise from the first floor carried right up into their room. We had no complaints at all with our stay and would stay here again.

Just Right

In Holland to celebrate parent's 60th anniversary. Within 15 to 20 minutes of most attractions in Holland. Enjoyed walking to the state park each morning and ice cream at the General Store each evening. A great location.

Wonderful Family Time

Close to the Marina, walking distance to the beach! Wonderful sunrises and not too far from beautiful sunsets! Thank you for the hospitality!

Nice little place

It was a nice property, with good access to the beach which was about a quarter mile down the road. Had everything we needed and the general store was only 150 feet away so very convenient. Parking was super tight. Another issue is the fence in the back is missing a section, so we were uneas about having kids hang in the back with such easy access to neighbors and limited visibility from the house. Overall a nice place though.

Great house and great location!

The house was exactly as advertised. It was clean and neat and had all the amenities we needed. Great location within walking distance to the beach, several restaurants, and the general store. We loved the expansive bike path all around town!

Holiday Weekend Getaway

Great place in a great location!

This vacation rental was pretty ideal. The upstairs bedrooms are a little smaller than they look in the pictures, but my family really enjoyed the house. The location is great too as it’s just a ten minute walk to the beach and then there’s an ice cream shop 100 steps away and then another food stop just 200 steps away. Unfortunately. the bed in the master suite was sagging in the middle. I contacted the management and they responded very quickly and got us a new mattress the same day! Unfortunately, the box spring was also broken. Nonetheless, this place was almost perfect and I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

5 min walk to Holland State park

Loved the Location. House was clean :) Super close general store my boys loved !! I would probably rent again. A few things I was surprised about. No extra 9volt batteries for the chirping smoke alarm upstairs. Had to run out for batteries. Zero salt and pepper or spices in the house, or foil.. usually there's a small amount provided. But not a huge deal. Also, the cable TV was very limited. Only a few stations worked. And it's not a smart TV, so, no Netflix or other networks. And no DVD player. One complaint I have about this process is that when the remaining payment was due for the house, I received NO request for payment emails. Nothing to remind me that payment was due. BVW took the remaining balance out of my checking acct without requesting it. Thankful I have overdraft protection. That shouldn't happen that way. I don't like that. There should be a request email. And I would've paid it no problem on time.. I don't like that BVW helped themselves to the remaining balance without a reminder or request. For that reason I prob won't rent again.

Family Vacation

The property was nice, good location! We walked to many places! Neighborhood was friendly. Traffic was bad trying to get out on the weekend but the rest of the week was great. I would stay here again!

Beach vacation in great location

Overall good experience but several issues were apparent. Cooling system did not cool the two Upstairs bedrooms. Need to set up streaming options especially with no DVD player available. This is an inexpensive device to allow streaming.

Awesome Location

The house was very nice with only a couple minor issues. The tub in the bathroom needs some maintenance as its cracked and the floor beneath feels a bit soft, but when I called the property manager to let them know they said they were aware of it so I assume it's going to be taken care of at some point. My main issue with the house is that the upstairs bedrooms badly need better window coverings. All they had was some lacy curtains which did nothing to block the light, which made it really difficult to get our kids to bed at a reasonable time (especially in the western-facing room). It would be great if they installed some blinds or at least some thicker curtains to block the light. Despite the minor issues with the house we still had a great time during our stay and would definitely stay here again as the location was incredible. We were within easy walking distance of food, ice cream, a little grocery store, boat rentals, the state park, and the beach. Overall a great rental.

Great property

I stayed here with my husband and 5 and 7 year old boys. The location is perfect. It’s right across the street from a General Store and a half mile walk down to the beach. Our family went to the beach every day. My husband and I are both runners, so we really enjoyed that the house is right along the beautiful biking and walking path. I only deducted a star because the WiFi in the house was really spotty, which was annoying since I didn’t have great cell phone service in the area.

Cozy cottage great location

Cozy cottage, quiet street, great location, adequately stocked kitchen, perfect for long weekend stay or longer. Walked to both Lake Macatawa and Michigan, hiking trails, general store, restaurants, and ice cream. Definitely recommend this place to a family or couples.

Holland beach house

The location of this property was awesome! But we were very unhappy to find dirty pots and pans.

We loved being so close to the lake and the beach, but we were unhappy with the dirty pans, spiders inside, the cracking bathtub. The patios were also very nice and comfortable. We spent a lot of time outside because of the open loft.

lofted kids room very noisy. location is fabulous

The listing said there were two queen beds. Very sadly it was one full bed and one queen bed. With four adults, this mattered a lot. Also, it is important to note when a bedroom is partially lofted and open to the living space below - the kids room sits on top of the stairs, just above the Tv and living room with a wall open to the stairs. The rest of the space is nicely decorated, well appointed, and clean. The beach chairs are broken so bring your own. You almost can't beat this location. The general store is across the street. Walk to both lakes and the steps of mount pisgah.
