Excellent location, comfortable home, and nicely appointed! We appreciated having plenty of space to hang out together. I never say this…but the bed was really comfortable! The hosts provided instructions for check in and out well in advanced.
We are college friends who may and lived together 50 years ago. This was a very clean and comfortable home for our reunion.

Liked: Cleanliness, communication, location
It all worked
Our daughter was getting married nearby, so the location was excellent. The sun room in the rear of the property was perfect for the floral arrangements that we made.
We had a wonderful stay at this adorable, comfortable, home. This home was super clean, beds very comfortable, and management was super responsive! We were in Chicago for the residency Match Day! This home is close to down town Chicago about 20 minutes on the weekend. We could have not of asked for a better experience! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.
We visited Chicago and bought our adult children and grand children. We rented both units and there was plenty of room. The house is beautiful and had everything we needed to ensure a wonderful stay. I highly recommend it!
We had an excellent girls weekend at this property! The place was very clean and the decor looked brand new. The space is great, we especially loved hanging out downstairs. Wifi was good. The only issue we had was they provide only 1 towel per person and there were only 4 washcloths for 6 guests. I like having a few extra towels, especially for multi night stays. Just a note that garage parking access is in the back alley - the driveway is super narrow.
The pictures do not do this beautiful property justice as there are just so many thoughtful touches in the house for a comfortable stay. It's beautiful and has a great layout for family gatherings and space to be alone. The kitchen is very well equipped for quick snacks or a full meal. The washer/dryer came in handy, and all the bathrooms are so nicely done. It's on a pretty quiet street and it's great to have parking on-site. We had a wonderful weekend gathering for a family wedding and rented both levels of the house--highly recommend!! Also, it was immaculately cleaned and the property manager helped us with our arrival time. 5 enthusiastic stars!!
We stayed over Christmas holiday during the deep freeze. House is very cute and clean. We were worried about porch and walkway being cleared after storm and there was a team there twice clearing and shoveling. We had no issues. There are 2 rental properties divided in one house and the house is old and you can hear other tenants. Location was perfect for us. Will stay again when we come to town to visit family.
We had a lovely stay on the ground floor apartment. We all had enough space to spread out when we got back from a day in the city. Kitchen was equipped with cooking utensils needed to prepare meals. The garage is equipped with outlets so I was able to charge my car overnight.
This is not a complaint, but more of an FYI for light sleepers who may want to book this place - you can hear people moving around from the upper apartment, you may want to bring ear plugs if you like to sleep in.
I would stay here again for sure!

Home Town Stay
My three sisters visited from out of town and we stayed together in the house. The accommodations were perfect for us. The house was spacious, clean, well-furnished and very comfortable. Although located on a fairly busy street, the home was so well insulated that we never heard any street noise, even if a window was open, which made for fine sleeping in the very comfortable beds. Each unit of the two-flat has its own conveniently-located garage in back of the house. Two minor negatives: The small back outdoor space could use some landscaping and the instructions for checking out seem excessive, given that we paid a cleaning fee. We were told to strip all the beds, take out the garbage and recycling, and run the dishwasher and put away the dishes. There was no time left before we were leaving to do that, so we had to leave the dishwasher running.Other than those minor caveats, we were very pleased with our stay there and highly recommend it to others.
This property is in an ideal location in an affluent area surrounded by beautiful homes. Short walk to excellent restaurants, the Frank Lloyd Wright and Hemingway homes, the Green line subway station. Busy street nearby but surprisingly quiet in the home. Kitchen is poorly furnished with no spices, no oils, no wrapping papers. A person preparing a meal would have to purchase an array of ingredients not usually necessary in a VRBO kitchen. The entry instructions were incomplete and frustrating upon arrival as it wasn't clear to open doors there were two codes, one for outside door and another for inside door. And the owner failed to mention the code has to be followed by pressing a black bar that is not obvious on the lock. Had to call the contact to figure out how to enter. Also be aware that if you are on the ground floor there is a rental upstairs and it is very noisy on the main floor when the upper floor is occupied due to the age of the home (creaky) and the lack of carpeting. We had running about young children who rise early above us and parents who did not attempt to curb their children's enthusiasm so if we ever rented this place again it would only be of interest if we were on the second floor. Overall the pluses outweighed the minuses for the purpose of our visit.
Our group came for a girls trip in the windy city and had a great stay. There are 2 bathrooms and a den and living room area. Both were great for chit-chatting and hanging out and while watching tv -- when we weren't touring the city. Everything you could need was accounted for including dishes, iron and ironing board, pots and pans and a Smart TV with streaming access. I also liked the easy access to the house via code.
The beds were super soft and the home is brightly lit with modern decor. It was a beautifully sunny weekend in Chicago too! We got some decor ideas from some of the items in the house!
The only feedback I have is the property contact sent to me was not the host, but perhaps a cleaner. By the time I got the right number, my query was already resolved, but it took the person who did respond all day to get back to me. The actual host was super quick at texting back though, so no harm done, but the information initially sent regarding who to call wasn't accurate. There also weren't instructions on some of the appliances in the house. Made me a little fearful to use them, but I inevitably used Google to figure stuff out.
Overall, a pleasant stay and the group in the unit above wasn't too noisy (we only heard them a few times).
Our stay was great; we enjoyed the area and being able to walk around Oak Park and Forrest Hills. We stayed in the downstairs unit, which was large and accommodating. The historical touches made the home unique and charming.A few cons: - the noise from people walking around the upper unit was very loud and woke us up early in the morning. - there wasn't much in the way of cookware, and the kitchen could use some food storage containers.

Perfect for our Quick Trip
We loved our stay in Oak Park. The house was clean and cozy. It had plenty of space for our group to spread out. Kids loved hanging out in the basement while the adults could visit upstairs. Pillows were hard, so you may want to pack your own, but otherwise everything was perfectly comfortable.
Pleasant location. Clean and looks like the picture
The unit was clean and looks exactly like the picture. The only "surprise" is that there is a separate rental unit on the second floor, whose conversation can be heard quite clearly. Thankfully I knew about this beforehand, and my upstairs neighbors were quite at night, so it wasn't an issue.
I had an issue with the keyless lock not working but Vrbo and the owner were communicative. I got into the house when the owner came after 30 mins.
