Cabin was a nice space for a retreat with friends. Back porch was great. Check in communication was fast and helpful. A few things to note for improvement:1) mouse droppings on the downstairs bed pillows upon arrival2) many, many flies and other bugs inside upon arrival3) kitchen not well-stocked4) when AC needed to be turned on, a fowl odor was present
The living room space is large and open. Our stay was very relaxing and cozy. The porch is a half wrap around with a lovely view of the landscape. The property is well maintained throughout with comfortable beds and hot showers. The spa tub was a nice escape.
Overall the stay was great! Great location and great views! Wish we could have had a fire. However, fireplaces are not allowed to be operated. We stay in cabins 10-15 times a year and fires are a staple of our stay as a family. Therefore, this was our only letdown. Overall great stay!

Thank you Rick for your review! We appreciate you leaving your review and are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay!
Our family of four plus Grandma enjoyed a Thanksgiving of quiet peacefulness, putting together puzzles and cooking in a very well stocked kitchen. The views are wonderful, even at this time of year. I can only guess how beautiful it must be in spring, summer and fall, or with snow. If there was any issue at all, it would be the hot and cold fluctuations of the showers, but it certainly wouldn't keep us from returning to this great cabin. I especially loved the big back porch.

Thank you Jill for your wonderful review and we look forward to hopefully having you back again soon!
Breathtaking scenery and fabulous weather made for a lovely family reunion. Just one problem. We had lots of trouble with reliable hot water for showers.
This property looked very nice from the photos but unfortunately the outside isn’t. It’s in pretty rough shape on the outside. The inside is nice but they didn’t care to check it before we got there. We had to clean up a lot of dead flies and one of the deer heads fell off the wall. The plumbing is poor. Hot water comes and goes while taking a shower. The water pressure drops to zero as soon as two faucets turn on. The fireplace in the living room is just decorative. The oven doesn’t work well. I don’t recommend staying here.
Online listing on VRBO was a little deceiving. Listing shows a nice indoor wood stove, which upon arrival had a note on it stating it was for decorative purposes only. Could not have a fire in it. Listing also shows a beautiful tub in the master bath. If we would have turned on the water the moment we got to the cabin, I’m not sure it would have been filled when we left 4 days later. Water pressure was horrible. Guessing the pressure tank on the well is going. Property could use some exterior TLC. Deck boards are sketchy in a couple areas and siding needs replaced in a few spots. Positive points, Olivia from the property management company was great and helped us through a couple other small issues. Outdoor fireplace was amazing. Beds were comfy and cabin was clean. Would stay again if the wood stove could be used and some exterior maintenance was completed.

Keith thank you for this review it is very helpful!
This home was absolutely beautiful! Clean and spacious. Plenty of room. Large kitchen where we were never in each other's way. The living room fireplace/wood stove is decorative only, which we were disappointed about but it IS mentioned in the listing. It's just further down and we hadn't noticed it previously. It's ok, we just played a fire on YouTube instead and it was great. We loved the huge back deck and gathering around the outdoor fireplace at night. So pretty! It's secluded but not entirely private. I really wanted to be able to go walk but there wasn't anywhere to go besides the short (but beautiful) length of the driveway back towards the busy road, as another residence is at the end of drive in the other direction. All the beds were super comfortable. The room I personally chose to sleep in upstairs was simple and beautiful and so cozy, with a delightful down comforter (that was missing a duvet cover so it can be washed), but there was no shade on that window (the only window in the house without one) AND the only window I believe without a screen. I really wanted to sleep with my window open, but didn't want to risk any critters coming in! Those things may possibly be temporary. I actually loved waking up with the sun coming in and a beautiful view of the treetops. Do not be mistaken in thinking that this is on the lake. There are mountain views, but it's not in view of any lake at all. The whole house was absolutely wonderful. Would love to return!
