PLEASE READ:
As our family live in the neighbouring colonial house on our acreage, there is the usual activity as we go about our daily lives.
The Studio is in a separate dwelling above the garage and office and has a private entrance.
I work from home and have an office underneath the studio, however access is via a separate entrance.
Our dog, Holly also shares my office during the day.
On your arrival and when guests return to the Studio during their stay, Holly may bark as she hears a strange car, however she quickly becomes used to our guests as they come and go during their stay. She loves people :)
Although we live on acreage, we have neighbours.
We offer our Studio as a peaceful retreat and when guests stay, we limit any activity which may cause a disturbance, however at times, we are unable to control noise which may be made by neighbours as they go about their DIY or gardening during our guests stay.

Room was a lot bigger than l expected from the photos. Felt like a home away from home espically having the kitchen and lounge area. There was parking space available which is great. Shops were close by (5 mins drive) and had coles as well as plenty of restaurants to choose from. We really enjoyed our stay here and Karen was a lovely host!

Thanks so much Aurora and Madison for your great review and thanks again for staying with us. We hope to see you again sometime in the future.
Karen and her partner are amazing hosts. The place was just as described and the little touches of the breakfast starters etc were wonderful. If we had any questions, Karen was happy to assist. Holly even greeted us and our little man was very happy to say hi to the gorgeous dog. The place had everything we needed and is located in a great area. Very happy.

About the host
Hosted by Karen Talbot
My husband, Gary and 2 children Emilia and James and our 11 year old Labrador, Holly, live on the fabulous Gold Coast, having emigrated from the UK in 2008.
We love Australia and we have settled well. Both children are now grown and at uni. We work hard (too hard!), I have a home based business which has been operating for almost 14 years and Gary is a Civil Engineer.
Our home is colonial and decorated to suit our country lifestyle and has a very traditional look with a very English feel.
Having joined Stayz, we hope to take some time off and travel more in the next few years.
Why they chose this property
Our guests have told us that our place is a little bit special. Our self contained Colonial Style Studio Apartment is situated in a separate building, set on our acreage property. It's perfect for guests who want to visit the GC but prefer to leave the bright lights and retire to accommodation which offers peace and tranquillity. A country retreat but located close to all attractions and beaches.
What makes this property unique
The property allows guests to get away from the hustle and bustle of the Gold Coast but still be within a 20 min drive to everything.
