About this property

Serenity @ Silverton - Pet Friendly with Fireplace (Araluen)

We’re excited to share one of our favourite places in South Australia with you. Our pet friendly 3 bedroom holiday home is located about 90 mins from the Adelaide CBD and within just 15 minutes of some amazing local spots of the Fleurieu Peninsula with Rapid Bay, Second Valley and the launchpad for Kangaroo Island of Cape Jervis nearby. The house is also in the perfect location to explore nearby Deep Creek Conservation Park, Morgans Beach and is on the doorstep to the wine regions.

The fully fenced property is set on one acre and is landscaped with native trees, shrubs and 100 year old stringy bark trees for adults, children and pets to explore. Come inside and there are three bedrooms, two queen sized beds and the third has a double bed. The heart of the house is the living and dining space with a wood fire heater perfect for the cooler months and a split system air conditioner for all year round comfort. The large windows on both sides of the living and dining take full advantage of the northern sun. The kitchen has a gas stove and microwave available, and the property is on rain water so there is a filter in the kitchen for drinking water.

Head on out to the back deck and there is a gas barbecue and outdoor setting which is a fantastic spot for bird watching, watching your pets enjoy the property or having a glass of red (or two).

Our holiday home is perfect for a getaway with family, friends or a romantic getaway with a special someone. There is a large range of boardgames as well as DVDs and a smart TV in the lounge room and free access to Wi-Fi internet.

We do have a range of tea and coffee supplied. Between visits the house is cleaned with eco-friendly products.

We do have a ring doorbell which has a camera for remote security at the property located at the front door.

Although there is a spa bath pictured in the bathroom this is not able to be used due to the property being on rainwater.

Lovely weekend getaway

In a peaceful and secluded area, lovely spacious property, clean and also a super warm fire place if you're staying in winter. Close to nearby attractions. Would highly recommend it.

Relaxing stay

A relaxed stay for us in Silverton. Escaping construction works next door to us in Adelaide, it was lovely getting away and back to nature at Arulean. Lots of native birds, a warming fire and a backyard that goes on forever (our dog was in heaven), we thoroughly enjoyed our few days away.

Wonderful winter getaway

We had a lovely little winter weekend getaway here with our dogs. A beautiful little spot with amazing gardens that the dogs loved to explore! The house is clean and provides everything you need, the woodfire making for cozy winter nights. A great spot for a getaway with the fur-babies. We will visit again!

I love this property

We absolutely loved our stay! The property is absolutely gorgeous, we loved the gardens. The home is warm and cosy. Loved the little touches like a welcome bottle of local wine and chocolates, absolutely lovely. Would love to come back in spring to see all the flowers in bloom. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

A beautiful setting for a quiet, relaxing stay. Surrounded by a wonderful variety of birds.

Lovely stay for my hubby and dog. A beautiful setting, beautiful surrounds and close to many small country towns and beautiful sights. I am on a tri walker and found the accommodation great for myself and limited mobility. Great deck, where the local birds visit in abundance, beautiful garden and enough room for the dog to run in a secure and safe setting. We had a lovely relaxing, quiet stay and enjoyed our day trips out and about locally.

Thank you Raylene for a wonderful stay at Araluen. The gardens are beautiful and the kids loved the space and the swings. Our dog also loved the the yard. We enjoyed the deck and visiting birds. The house is very clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

Peaceful and relaxing

A wonderful getaway to feel secluded from the crazy world we are living in! Was so lovely to enjoy the warmth of the fire, the view of the stringybarks, birds all around and a nice glass of wine. Tucked away in a quiet location surrounded in a lovely garden setting , with many varieties of birds that visit for a feed. Combustion heater warms the house and adds a lovely ambience. Great communication with Raylene

A welcoming place for families and pet's.

Was a lovely place to stay to relax and unwind with the family and our dog loved it too. Comfortable bed's and combustion heater worked well and kept us warm on rainy day's. Slice of paradise

Winter wonderland

We had the most relaxing winter adventure. Everyday greeted by many feathered friends, the roaring fire keeping us toasty and a lovely garden to wander with a hot cuppa. Easy communication, a well equiped kitchen (we feasted like kings) and new walks around Silverton with spectacular sunsets. Highly recommend for a nature and nurture break from the city

Beautiful garden lots of birds, very relaxing

We stayed with our small dog, and felt very relaxed the whole of our stay. Watching the birds from the rear deck, watching wrens & spinebills hopping around the front garden while making breakfast, peaceful & quiet! Perfect location and atmosphere for a holiday of any duration

The property had everything that was needed. The garden and it's bird and rabbit visitors added to the experience. Hearing the cows twice a day on the farm nearby was soothing. The fencing for fur babies was excellent. Communication with the owners was exceptional. Perfect location for complete relaxation.

The moment we saw this property well absolutely fell in love with it. Silverton was an area our family had been visiting for years and this well established short stay is a property our family loves and loves being able to share with guests from around the world.
