Such a wonderful place
Staying here brought me back to memories of staying at my grandmother's when I was a kid. It was so peaceful there as well. I have nothing but good things to say about my few weeks staying here.

Not what we were expecting
The house is not what we were expecting after looking at the photos. The house is historic, but it needs a lot of updating and has a very dark, old feeling. Bugs were found in the kitchen, front bedroom, and bathroom including small roaches, spiders, and stink bugs. The mattress in the front bedroom is an old spring mattress and very uncomfortable. Stink bugs and spiders were in the front bedroom. The kitchen supplies were old and outdated, and we saw small roaches crawling around. The den couch was old, uncomfortable, and had no padding. The den had a tv with streaming services. The porch was covered with spiders, potted plants were dying, and the porch floor was covered in dust. The front living room tv was not hooked up to streaming.
The bathroom was very small and dark but clean. We did see spiders in the bathroom. The water seemed to be part of a water softener hookup.
The house is close to lots of state parks/hiking. The downtown has a cute coffee shop.
We loved the location of the property. It was out of the way from the hustle and bustle of down town, and close enough to town and activities when we were ready to venture out. I only wish it had been a little warmer so we could enjoy the outside in the morning when we had our coffee. I did not give cleanness a five because the main things we had to use looked like they had been cleaned but sat up awhile and not been cleaned for awhile. It seemed like it was dusted quickly and I felt like there was a lot of dust build up and pieces of the home that are deteriorating that could have been tidied up more. The home could benefit from at least one bigger bed but that would take away from the “oldness” of the home. The bathroom needs some updating. We loved the charm of the home it was really neat to see so many things preserved in an older home like this. I love to cook, so I went thru the recipe box and red thru them all:) That was a treasure for me to find. I spent the first night just looking thru the home and I loved it. There were all the amenities we needed and to have a washer and dryer is great. We didn’t have the need but usually when we stay somewhere I would take advantage of that. For the price and location we couldn’t beat it and we really enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay here again if in the area!! Beautiful!! Also the pictures seen online are true to real life. The home is just as seen online.
What a really nice historic place. The antique decor was awesome. It really took you back in time.
The only negative is it does not have 2 full bathrooms! Only one full bathroom , the second is a toilet in the laundry room with a flimsy screen and a small sink. No shower or tub.
We made it work. That was the only disappointment,, the rest was great!

Girls Trip
We stayed here for a girls trip long weekend. The house was wonderful. We loved all the antiques. Keep in mind this is an old farmhouse and still used by the family for reunions and gatherings. If we return to the area, we will definitely book this house again. Thanks for the look back in time.
