Stunning Cape Cod Style Cottage, Huron County

Welcome to beautiful Huron County! This lakeside community is located just minutes from Goderich along the shores of Lake Huron. This vacation home, equipped with a luxury hot tub, is situated on a quiet dead-end road, just a short walk to the bluff with incredible views of the lake or a 2-minute drive to a breathtaking beach. Accessible year-round it has all the modern amenities of home with an electric fireplace, jacuzzi bathtub, 70-inch TV and a fully outfitted kitchen. You will have access to the entire half-acre property including the large private dog-friendly backyard which is fenced on three sides and backs onto a treed gully.

The Space:
- There are 2 bedrooms (one on the main floor and one on the top floor) each with a king-sized bed as well as an open loft on the top floor overlooking the living room containing 2 additional twin beds **Please note the loft is not an enclosed space**
- The cottage has 2 full bathrooms, 1 with a shower (on the main floor) and 1 with a jacuzzi bathtub (on the top floor).
- A fully equipped kitchen has all the amenities required including an electric stove, toaster oven, Bosch dishwasher, blender & coffee maker.
- The living room has a cathedral ceiling with an open concept kitchen and living space.
- All roads in our community are paved and great for walking, running, and cycling.
- Unlimited internet, Smart TV, air conditioning/propane heating, electric fireplace, BBQ, full kitchen, washer/dryer, and outdoor fire pit.
- 7 person hot tub open year round!
- There are plenty of books, board games and children's toys for rainy days.
- The open loft also has a small, dedicated desk with a view of the lake, for those wishing to have a working staycation.
- Port Albert has a quaint village feel and is outfitted with a pub, general store, and LCBO. **NOTE: At this time the general store is closed and for sale, we hope it will reopen but we do not know when**

Guest access:

- Guest access to the cottage via lock box.
- Ample parking available for multiple vehicles.

Other things to note:

- The living room couch pulls out to allow for extra sleeping space.
- Linens and towels are provided.
- Cottage is dog friendly (pre-approval needed), unfortunately cats are not permitted.
- Snowshoes and toboggans are available for use in the winter.

Things to Do in the Summer:
- Spend the day swimming and relaxing at the Port Albert beach “Ontario’s Best Kept Secret”.
- Enjoy the world-renowned Lake Huron sunsets from the beach in Goderich or Port Albert.
- Spend the evening relaxing in the hot tub after a day at the beach.
- Explore the charming, historic shops in downtown Goderich or tour along the waterfront to watch the ships docking at the world’s largest underground salt mine.
- Enjoy a morning tee time at one of the many golf courses nearby.
- Take a tour of the Cowbell Brewery and enjoy the open-air beer garden and restaurant just a short 20-minute drive away.
- Visit Point Farms Provincial Park just 5 minutes away.
- Day trip options include Kincardine (30 min), Bayfield (30 min), Grand Bend (45 min) and Port Elgin (50 min).
- There are many hiking, cycling, fishing and paddling options nearby (local brochures are provided in the cottage).

Things to Do in the Winter:

- Warm up in the hot tub while enjoying the stunning winter scenery.
- Rent a fat bike from Goderich Bike Shop and enjoy a winter ride along the Guelph-to-Goderich (G2G) rail trail.
- Watch the sunset from the bluffs near the Goderich lighthouse.
- Point Farms Provincial Park offers a wide variety of winter activities.
- Hiking trails ranging from 20 minutes to 1.5 hours, snowshoeing, and plenty of birds and wildlife to see along the way.
- Bring your snowshoes, cross-country skis, and fat bikes to Wawanosh Valley Conservation Area (20 min) or other trails.
- Have an outdoor fire (winter firepit provided).
- Tobogganing options available nearby.
