Perfect location to explore the Clare Valley wine region. The 1800’s stone cottage has been lovingly restored and has all the modern comforts yet retains its historical charm. The owner was very responsive and supplied us with goodies so we didn’t have to go to the grocery store before our evening arrival.
Cedar cottage is a serene getaway away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is well looked after and Colleen and Paul are great hosts. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it.
Lovely place to stay and getaway. Renovated marvellously. Just felt like home, back on the farm as a kid. Fantastic host great communication from Colleen
Colleen’s property was just as listed, very clean and a beautiful property. The breakfast supplies, wine and chocolates left out were just perfectly and Colleen was quick to respond to any queries. Would recommend
We were so impressed with Cedar cottage. From the moment we walked in it was just a series of wow's as we discovered more and more of the owners hospitality. The cottage itself is surprisingly large and just beautifully finished. Plenty of wood for the fire was also appreciated. Stunning views of rolling hills and a great walk up the hill paddock. We cannot stress enough how good this place is, we'll definitely be back.
We thoroughly enjoyed our very relaxing stay, thank you Colleen.
The property was easy to find, great communication prior to arrival with all the details we needed. It was the end of winter and lovely to arrive with the fireplace ready to light and wine and chocs. We enjoyed the generous breakfast provisions. The bathroom was modern. Electric blankets on the comfy beds, we slept so well.
The restoration of the cottage was documented in a lovely photobook. We look forward to returning to this quiet little country cottage one day.
We were very comfortable and warm with our fire and good wine and food. The bathroom is great. A bit cold and wet for any outside sitting but good views and happy sheep. We did wish there was a CD player as we brought our CD's to share our music.
Well done. Cheers

The cottage was nicely renovated with the modern amenities you needed but kept true to the history of the house. Wifi would have been good, but to be honest it was nice to have a little break from it! There were thoughtful touches throughout the cottage and we loved our stay.
What a beautifully restored 1800s cottage. Our young family fell in love with the place, and the location is simply stunning. Perfect for a relaxing getaway and it’s on the doorstep of the amazing Clare valley. Highly recommended for all ages and family’s. The restoration was done to an extremely high standard whilst not losing the warm cottage charm. Colleen and Paul are great hosts and clearly take pride in their presentation of the property and we loved the extra treats they left for us. We cannot wait to visit again. Thanks again!
