Traditional townhouse in central Kyoto, perfect for our family of 5. Two small bedrooms upstairs and one bedroom, living room, small kitchen, and breakfast nook downstairs.
Pros: Great location near taxis and a train station. Quiet bedrooms with comfy duvets; two have futons, one has twin beds. Convenient washing machine and full-size fridge.
Cons: Nauseating smell upstairs from an exposed sewer pipe in the washroom. We arrived to an uncleaned unit and it was difficult to get hold of someone to deal with the problem. Had to call VRBO support three times, twice at the check-in, plus once regarding our reservation 1.5 months prior to our trip.
The communication with the property manager was nearly nonexistent, extra ordinary efforts were required to receive a response.
