We had the best family holiday - location is great . House is old school - outdoor showers excellent - plenty of space. Host was great. Good old kiwi batch.
It was a nice beach batch that had everything needed for 1 night. Enjoyed sitting in sun eating our dinner. Something had died so there was a bad smell. Probably a bird. The showers outside were good pressure, but they really needed to be cleaned, dirt and leaves in them. But a great family batch

My family and I really enjoyed our stay here, it was very clean when we arrived and just a walks away from the waterfront. The outdoor showers were very good as well. Would recommend booking here!
This was our second stay at Green Bach, and although it's nothing flash, there have been so many improvements since our last visit in 2018. Great place to stay with plenty of room and a very sweet cat.
A one night stop over to visit Manea Footprints of Kupe and Tane Mahuta. We were extremely comfortable had anything we needed and Sacha was great to deal with.
My family and I stayed here to attend a wedding, the batch was beautiful, I loved the old school vibe, it was clean and just a pop over the road to the ocean. Sacha was a great host and communicated thoroughly. Thanks for the great stay!
Beautiful home real homely bach vibe will definitely book again. Love the outdoor showers and the nostalgic plates and cutlery that give you nanas house vibe. Safe and clean x Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us all x
We had a good nights stay. Comfy and great location. We loved sitting out on the deck img and watching the sun go down and walking down the beach. All good!
We had an amazing time at the Green Cafe, the batch had all we needed including toys for the kids and a BBQ. The location is perfect with beautiful views and so many things to do around.
Great location, spacious for a family. House was generally tidy but did have a fair bit of dust build up. Needs an update. Mattresses were not very comfortable. Easy access location and you can hear the water from the bedroom which was nice.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Bach had everything we needed, and was in a lovely quiet spot with lots of privacy. The only thing lacking was the WiFi and mobile network connectivity, but when you’re on holiday that’s not a bad thing!

About the host
Hosted by Sacha Hickman
The Green Bach has been in our family for 20 years. We've had great holidays in the north and wanted to open the house for others to enjoy. Guests are able to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Hokianga and have a true kiwi bach experience.
Why they chose this property
The Hokianga is spiritual and stunningly beautiful.
What makes this property unique
When you enter the Green Bach you feel like you are 'away from home'. The house is comfortable and clean, but we have been careful not to overly modernise it. We want guests to have an authentic kiwi bach experience, complete with outdoor showers, 1950's kitchen and vintage crockery.
