About the host

Host profile image
We have lived here for 20 years and have continually renovated the property. After raising our large family and taking care of extended family, we have decided to offer our home for family and large groups to get away.

We wanted the property to have a park-like/vacation feel and have continually improved the property each year adding large trees to surround the backyard and provide privacy from the distant neighbours.

The Swimspa is perfect for large groups - it's 16' long and has 72 jets, rated for 15 people, and can be used all year round.

On colder nights you can enjoy the propane fireplace on 1of the 2 back decks.

We built this home with the intention of living in it for many years. We are happy to share our "little bit of paradise" with you and your extended family.

Why they chose this property

This property is BIG - 5800 sq. ft. above grade with multiple living rooms and a large gourmet kitchen with all the supplies you need to cook up a store.

The original timber frame home was built in 1890. We have completely renovated the home and exposed the wood beams. In 2003 a 3500 sq. ft. addition was completed to the house. All the rooms are XL. There is plenty of space to spread out or for the whole group to be together.

Located on a quiet road, you often don't see cars for hours at a time.

You can listen to the birds, and enjoy the sunrise and sunset from multiple rooms of the home.

The whole property is 74 acres, 60 acres are farmed in soy and corn. There is a large pond, and a walking path to the back 14 acres, where you can hike or hunt (in season).

Surrounded by wildlife - birds, deer, bald eagles, hawks, blue heron, frogs, crickets etc. The property is like a private park and is extremely peaceful.
