Up Nort’ Retreat invites you into a perfect kitchen and dining room area with views of the awesome shoreline of North Twin Lake. Reserve your perfect getaway at Stepaway Vacation Rentals! The kitchen offers a large island with granite countertops, beautiful stainless steel appliances, and a large harvest table for enjoying meals, conversation, or games. Enjoy your morning coffee on the covered porch.

The large family room offers comfortable reclining leather seating, perfect for viewing the large screen TV, relaxation, or time spent with family and friends. The space has vaulted ceilings with an expansive view of North Twin Lake.

The master bedroom is conveniently located on the main level and has a king-sized bed, a spacious walk-in closet, and a bathroom shared with the main level. Two of the three bedrooms are located on the lower level. The smaller bedroom has a queen bed and TV with a DVD player, perfect for enjoying a movie in bed. The second and larger bedroom is home to two king beds and a full-size sleeper sofa. Enjoy gorgeous views of North Twin Lake from both bedrooms.

Relax on the covered patio facing the backyard while you grill or enjoy cocktail hour with your family and friends. Enjoy campfires around the fire pit, or head down to the waterfront for some water adventures. You can ski, tube, kayak, fish, swim, sunbathe, and relax on the beautiful North Twin lake. A lakeside swing is perfect for watching breathtaking sunsets.

The property has a private pier on the water with plenty of space for your watercraft. North Twin Lake is part of 2,871 Acres of serene Northwoods beauty and excellent fishing, crystal clear water, and firm lake bottom. Prefer winter adventures? Vilas County is home to over 500 miles of snowmobile trails and connects with trails throughout Oneida County for an additional 1100 miles of groomed, public trails! Come explore the winter snowmobile trails or fish from the private pier, you are guaranteed to find fun in all seasons!

North Twin Family Trip

We had a fantastic week long stay. This place checked all the boxes for our family trip. Highly recommend for those that enjoy lake life including, boating, fishing, water sports, relaxing and great sunsets.

Phenomenal stay

This property is so clean, from bedding to the kitchen. The rooms are large and comfortable. The yard is great and the doc works perfect to fish from or have a boat. We loved everything about this property.

Nice place

We enjoyed our well long stay - it was a very nice property! We do wish the main master bedroom would have had the same mattress topper that the downstairs beds have - it was pretty firm. Again, a very nice property with a great view!

Cathy was a great host to deal with. The home was gorgeous and clean. After settling in it was like you owned it. Very relaxing. And for snowmobiling the access is exactly what you want .

Up Norte Doesn't Disappoint!

LOVED this place! I grew up about an hour away from Phelps and Eagle River and we wanted a place on the water to get the fam together for a long weekend...just a 20 minute ride away from Eagle River, Up Norte felt like we were remote in all the best ways!! The property is stunning and the small town and convenience store had all the charm you'd hope from a small town. The property manager was extremely helpful as was everyone we interacted with during our stay from the boat rental to the waterfront gas station Highly recommend...just not on a week that conflicts with our next stay 😉

Beautiful Location, Lovely Home

The lake views/access are wonderful, and the home itself is warm and charming. We found it easy to drive to town for entertainment and shopping. We only had a couple of small issues, which may not affect every renter. We have a number of allergy sufferers in our group, and we could not avoid dog hair - on rugs, blankets, etc. It clung to our clothes. Again, this may not be an issue for many. We also experienced the Swimmer's Itch from the lake that the owner thankfully explained in their very thorough binder of information and rules. If either of these are concerns for your family, just pack some Benadryl! The only other hiccup was that the Vrbo listing says Check-In is at 3 PM and Checkout is at 10 AM. My reservation also said this. However communication from the owner said Check-In at 4 PM and Checkout at 9 AM - and the cleaners were there waiting for us to get out at 9 AM, so that was kind of a bummer. Hopefully the Vrbo listing will be updated by the time of this review, so there's no future confusion. We really did enjoy staying there. It's a beautiful home.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is an exceptional property in an ideal location, regardless of season. We booked the property for a snowmobile vacation. Up Nort' Retreat is on North Twin Lake which has multiple trails that go across the lake surface. This allowed us to access the Eagle River and Phelps trail systems from the lake side of the house. The house is very modern, was immaculately clean, and was very comfortable. The house has floor heat (which is very nice to have in winter), a beautiful living room, and a fully-stocked gourmet kitchen. The beds are new and are very comfortable.We have stayed here last summer -- and the location was perfect then, and is perfect in winter. We've already booked again for this coming summer and we are very much looking forward to coming back.
