It was quiet and in a beautiful setting - surrounded by trees - the sound of the rain was nice
It was remote and allowed me to settle in and do some writing.

A quiet retreat with a wonderful touch of history.
We love history and this cabin fulfilled that need while providing all the comforts and amenities we might need. The biggest drawback was only staying for one night. It would have been wonderful to stay there for a few days and relax and listen to the creek.
Great cute little cabin. Excellent communication with the host.Caveat: Be aware that this is a tiny little early 1800's cabin, and have those expectations! Very small, low ceilings, rough woods, tiny kitchen. But comfy, great for us and for our dog, nicely secluded setting beside a creek. We loved it!

We had a very nice stay at this property. The place was clean and equipped with everything we needed. This was a very peaceful retreat and we would definitely stay there again.
One of the most serene places I've stayed in-wish we booked for longer! Beds are super comfortable, everything is clean, and loved the beautiful backyard.
Stayed for just one night, but it is in a great location and the cabin was really fun. My son played by the stream in the morning. Highly recommend!

Rustic mountain getaway left us rested for the holiday season!!
Favorite place was awesome comforter on the main bed.
Needed short instructions about getting heat options started in cold weather. Showering is challenging.
Refrigerator outside (especially by stove) needs cleaning between guests.
Otherwise wonderful!!
It was a quiet little cabin with history. Close to a lot hiking trails. We loved it. We will definitely be back also be prepared for the scavenger hunt with in the cabin.
Ambiance and authenticity, exactly as desired, exactlty as promised. What a treat

The setting in rural Virginia along a creek was beautiful, restful and serene. The Pre-Civil War log cabin was comfortable, fully equipped and rustic inside and out. What a fantastic experience 👍 and recommend it highly.
