We loved staying at the farm. It was clean and quiet with everything we needed for a four day stay! It was nice to see the chickens and roosters running around in the morning. My 3 year old daughter loved it!
Had a wonderful visit at the Ferndale farm (Swallow's Return cabin). Very peaceful setting. The cabin was very clean and inviting. Sitting on the porch, visiting with the chickens was so nice!
I stayed for 2 weeks. It was really a lovely location. Easy for frequent trips inti Bellingham. The small cabin/house was cozy and nicely appointed. The owners and caretakers were helpful and friendly. Internet access is very limited due to the remote location.
Great home base for a recent visit with my son who lives in Bellingham. Property has all the animal sounds, beautiful trees and flowers, and fresh eggs. Would definitely stay again.
This property is a great little stay where you are close enough to the freeway but get the pleasure of being tucked away on a cute hobby farm. I enjoyed watching the farm animals while witnessing beautiful sunsets and sunrises. A great little getaway!
Love the farm animal menagerie, the views of the Canadian Rockies, lush greenery and farm fresh eggs. The onsite Hosts were very accommodating and made sure wehad everything we needed. Stairs may be challenging for the elderly, however the Reclinerwas very comfortable for my husband. We loved every minute of our stay and found the location perfect for all of our preplanned activities. Pretty Pink Petunias Everywhere
Joe and Beverly have put 20 years into this property and it shows. The attention to detail is amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We loved the donkeys! We would love to come back and visit in the spring to be able to enjoy the beautiful landscape when everything is blooming! I highly recommend this great little spot!!

The farm animals are very friendly and entertaining! The steps to the sleeping loft are a bit of a challenge, however the sofa bed is on the first level and extremely comfortable.

Awesome
My teenage kids haven't ever stayed on a farm before this trip. It was a real treat for us. The farm animals are friendly and entertaining. If you have mobility issues plan to sleep on the sofa bed on the first level. The pullout sofa is comfy and the additional bedding is truly cozy.
The farm was lovely, the area very quiet.
Our only quibble would be the kitchen set up. There was one pot and one frying pan, and some of the cheapest cutlery. (Albeit that is a personal dislike). A quick trip to a thrift store would be all that is needed to make this a better cooking/dining experience.
It’s worth coming here for the plethora of birds. The studio is a standalone building on a lovely farm shared by the birds and a couple other housing units. It’s a great size for one or maybe two people. The kitchen/bathroom/laundry are downstairs and the bedroom is upstairs, Internet speed is 4g, so you can check email and read the news, but wouldn’t count on being able to take a zoom meeting. There is cell service though. My only complaint is that the bed is aggressively uncomfortable- I think it’s actually just a box spring. Easy fix for the hosts though. Other than that I’d definitely recommend for a peaceful country stay.

Excellent stay for any couple or family. The hosts are very hospitality, and super nice to provide firewood for an evening beach experience. Extra bonus having fresh eggs available
