We had a great time here. The house had plenty of space and the location was perfect - only a few minutes drive from beaches, town, and great restaurants. We cooked for several meals and the kitchen was well equipped, though we must've missed where the grilling tools were. It was convenient to have extra beach chairs in the garage. Stefan was responsive with any questions we asked.
Beautiful house with a lot of character. Beds were comfy. Sunroom was extremely cozy and nice to sip coffee on (as well as the deck). As mentioned in other reviews, it's a nice lived-in cape house feel, as opposed to some immaculate untouched hotel room. We loved the house itself and neighborhood/location.
I would suggest contacting evolve in advance in terms of how to check in/ensuring everything is ready to go.

Dated, smelly and ants
Location was great. Easy access to everything. Large rooms.
As soon as you walk in it smells.
Kitchen and bathrooms are original from the 70's. Tea kettle full of rust on inside, frying pan unusable, pillows had stains that need to be tossed. Ants walking in kitchen. Woke up to them on me! the lower basement bathroom, which i used had what appeared to be black mold. Disappointing.
I was hesitant to book this house because at the time it had no ratings. I went ahead nonetheless and it turned out great. The house has three bedrooms and two bathrooms (one en suite) upstairs, a powder room off the kitchen and a bedroom with a bathroom in the basement (which is not a dark enclosed space, it's at the backyard level). At that level there is a former workshop with a ping pong table and a rec room. It has three living/ family/ sun rooms and a formal dining rooms. The garage is not usable (but you don't need to anyways) since it's full of bikes, a boat, a kayak and other stuff. There are several beach chairs and one beach umbrella. In the kitchen there is everything needed to cook and serve meals. We had a great time and for sure we'll look forward to book again in the near future

Great house and good location
We enjoyed most things about this house. Its location is especially good for walks to the beach and the nearby park (the Knob). The house is spacious. The addition of a basement ping pong table is lots of fun. It is a quiet location with visible neighbors but all are at least 150 feet away from this house so they do not intrude at all.
The house could use somewhat better maintenance as 4 light switches / rheostats did not work properly and the fluorescent light in the kitchen was dead. We were the first renters of a new season so maybe these minor inconveniences will be remedied soon. The towels were ancient and rough and could be replaced en masse. The beds however were very comfortable.
This is a family home filled with wonderful memorabilia of a life at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute so do not rent this house if you want a pristine hotel like setting. But if you prefer feeling like you are in a real home of a real family then this is the place for you.

Management/caretaking not so hot
Felt like I was the property's caretaker. The ceiling light near the shower in the master bedroom was burned out - I replaced it, but it was an unusual fixture that required you to unscrew something to access the bulb.
If you used the sink in the master bath, it immediately began filling up and then drained extremely slowly. So I got out the tools again and removed a clog from the drain that was too large to have accumulated in one vacation season.
What else? Dead battery in the remote for one of the A/C units. Broken zipper on one of the cushion covers in the solarium. Carpet on the stairs and upstairs hallway looks like it hasn't been shampooed in a long while.
Finally, my daughter had to order contact lenses while at the house, and unfortunately UPS could not deliver them until the day after the rental ended. We were moving on to a second rental on Martha's Vineyard. Was hoping the package could be retrieved by the property managers and picked up by my daughters when they returned home the following week. Emailed both the property contact and the cleaning service we were told to contact if we needed anything. No response from either. Fortunately, my daughters swung by the property on their was home and found the package in the mailbox. So all ended well. But I didn't appreciate being "ghosted" by the property managers.
Bottom line - nice house, not very well maintained given the hefty rental cost.
