We really enjoyed our stay at Ptarmigan Village. Beautiful accommodations and conveniently located near the slopes and downtown Whitefish! Highly recommend to anyone that wants to have a great vacation in Whitefish!
Our stay was perfect at this village, the staff was there when needed, the house was clean, the location is great with a great view and the distance from Whitefish and other places was good. If I ever come back to Whitefish I would book with them again.
The property was extremely dirty and presented several safety concerns during our stay. There were bugs and popcorn debris on the pull-out sofa. The ceiling fan and the filters on the split AC/heating unit were heavily covered in dust and dirt. The kitchen hood had significant grease buildup, and the floors and carpet were also dirty. There was no remote provided for the HVAC unit, making it impossible to adjust the temperature properly. Mgt. was aware of this and did not remedy. The sliding door leading to the common porch had no curtain, creating a significant lack of privacy. There were also serious safety concerns with the loft, the interior steps as well as the railings on the outside of the property. The angle of the steps was dangerous (at least a 45 degree angle) and there should have been a safety gate to prevent someone—particularly a child—from accidentally falling down the stairs . The loft was brutally hot necessitating sleeping on the couch (which when pulled out revealed dead bugs and food). The smaller table top was not secured to the base and kept falling off. Overall, the property was not adequately cleaned or maintained, and the safety issues should be addressed before the property is rented to future guests. I cannot believe I paid what I did for this rental .

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear you were disappointed with your stay. We do want to clarify that most of the concerns mentioned were not reported to us during your stay, which prevented us from having the opportunity to address them.
The ceiling fan was the only cleaning issue brought to our attention. We explained that our annual deep cleaning takes place in the fall and offered to have someone come clean the fan during your stay, but we did not receive a response.
The HVAC remote was discovered missing upon your early arrival, which we accommodated as a courtesy even though it was before your approved check-in time. We explained that a replacement remote must be specifically ordered for the unit and offered to have maintenance come in to manually adjust the system, but that option was declined.
The loft stairs and railings have been reviewed and meet applicable safety requirements. The loft’s step-style stairs are also disclosed in the listing so guests can determine whether the layout is suitable for their needs before booking.
We take cleanliness, maintenance, and guest safety seriously and are always willing to address concerns when they are brought to our attention. Unfortunately, we cannot resolve issues we are not given the opportunity to know about during a guest’s stay.
We loved staying at Ptarmigan Village. Everything was just right, and we were able to visit Glacier National Park, Whitefish Mountain Resort, Flathead Lake/Wild Horse Island, and Martin Falls. The unit was just right. We’ll definitely return! Patty at the main office is a GEM! Great experience, all around!
Overall, we were pleased with our stay. The condo is nice, a little tight, but clean and comfortable. Expect to bring or buy all your cooking needs. We have stayed at Ptarmigan several times. This particular place is far from the hot tub/poo. We drove to it each night However, I probably

Hi Kati;
Thank you for the review. I'm sorry about the cooking items but our health code does not allow us to have any open containers or left over food items including basic seasoning. Thank you for staying with us and please come again when you are able too.
I stayed with my family in this cabin for 4 nights. We had a great time, but I would say that the patio was not prepared to be outside, the furniture and bbq were all covered, and the kitchen was very unconfortable for a vacation home as I had to find the cooking ware around the kitchen cabinets, but overall it is a very nice cabin, with nice bedrooms. I think it would be perfect for winter time as it is 2 minutes from the Whitefish sky resorts, but it is a little bit too far for the summer as the entry of the park is around 30 minutes away. We had a beautiful time with my family, the cabin was perfect for our family with 3 small kids.
No hot water in downstairs shower. Sink in downstairs bathroom drained really slow. TV in one of the downstairs bedrooms didn't work. Etc...

This is not a three bedroom, it’s two and a loft. High level description is misleading. The front bedroom bedside lamps did not work, they were not plugged in and no outlets were available to plug them into. The bedding was comfortable enough and we slept well.
The back bedroom was too cold with no heating. And the kitchen was difficult to use; disorganized, small, and not functional. I would not recommend it.

I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay, our description is not misleading it is posted as: This two-bedroom with a loft cozy cabin offers a western ambiance with spectacular views of the beautiful Cedar Forest.
There are extensions cords for the lamps and anything else needed. We were never informed there was no heat in this unit or we would have came down to assist, the heater is located on the floor board base with each room having their own thermostat. I am sorry you did not like the condo, but it is a bit unfair to not give us a chance to make any corrections or assistance without ever letting us know but through a review. Please have a wonderful rest of the summer
