House was very clean. Host was very responsive. Location was excellent. Downtown historic Front Royal was a very short walk away and Shenandoah national park a very quick drive. Restaurants and shops were easy to get to. Three bedrooms upstairs all had queen beds but one was missing a box spring and the door was very hard to open once closed. Host had a warning note on it but we still got stuck in the room for a few minutes. Upstairs bath closest to the bedrooms had only a tub. Downstairs bath had the only shower. For our three day stay none of this was an issue. Host did not provide shower gel/shampoo/ or conditioner but we all had our own so again, not a problem for us. Bedrooms were bare bones… no end tables/usb ports/ or luggage racks but were decorated nicely. We had a great 3 day getaway!
We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this lovely home on Blue Ridge in Front Royal. The location was amazing, just a short walk to Main St with it's cute shops and great coffee shop and restaurant, and also within a few blocks of St. John's historic Catholic church.
Everything was super clean and there were so many personal touches that made it fun. We were grateful for coffee in the cupboard, and all we needed in the way of kitchen essentials.
The two bathrooms featured a really nice shower (downstairs) and a gorgeous new soaking jacuzzi tub (upstairs), and there were so many clean and fluffy white towels, blankets to snuggle, ceiling fans for when it was warm, a great easy to use thermostat for perfect a/c (and the fireplace in the living room and dining room looked like they'd be awesome in winter).
It was so great to be able to contact the host instantly when we had questions. She was so helpful, and even let us have a late check out the last day.
We hope to stay here again on future trips to Front Royal. We didn't get to do nearly all we wanted to in the area - although thankfully we made it to Skyline Drive at the beginning of Shenandoah National Park, just a mile or so away. As beautiful as we had remembered, and we saw many deer on this trip (not only in the park).
Thanks so much to the host, and we hope to stay again!
God bless you!
Suzie
Our family enjoyed this home. It was clean, comfortable and cozy. The Christmas tree was a cheerful touch. Dining room and kitchen are great for family meals. I wouldn't recommend it for little kids (the floors are slippery and the glass vases need to be moved). Appliances were in good working order and the home is close to Shenandoah park and as well as restaurants and grocery stores. We did have some trouble getting the wi-fi to work.
