The house is situated in Eurong Second Valley & is protected with a Dingo safety enclosure to give you peace of mind, it is approximately a 200-meter walk to the beach. Eurong’s restaurant, shop, bakery, and resort bar are a short walk from the house. A great location to go visiting all the beautiful lakes around such as Lake McKenzie, Lake Birrabeen, Lake Boomanjin, Lake Benaroon, Basic Lake, and Lake Wabby. Go see the SS Maheno shipwreck and float down Eli creek in the beautiful freshwater. Double Storey 5 bedroom, 2 bathroom, 2 kitchen self-contained house.
It is an older style house and shows it’s age in some places, expect to find some loving wear and quaint ageing both inside and out. It is a great base location to stay to go and spend your days visiting all the beautiful lakes around such as Lake McKenzie, Lake Birrabeen, Lake Boomanjin, Lake Benaroon, Basic Lake, and Lake Wabby. Go and see the SS Maheno shipwreck and float down Eli creek in the beautiful freshwater.
The House: The house has Five bedrooms and can sleep up to 14 people. The areas consists of:
Ground Floor: Bedroom 1 – Queen Bed
Second bedroom – Two Bunk Beds
Bathroom- Shower and Toilet
Kitchen & Dining - Fully equipped with a gas stove/oven (please bring matches or a lighter for the stove top), an electric fridge/freezer. All utensils are supplied – pots, pans, crockery, and cutlery. A highchair is also available to use.
Laundry- an automatic washing machine that you are welcome to use. (Cold wash only) please shake or rinse sand out of clothes before using. Also small fridge in here for use.
Rumpus/Lounge - Two seater lounge and three seater lounge, no TV is downstairs. Stairs to upper level, PLEASE NOTE THERE ARE NO BABY GATES.
Upper Level:
Third bedroom – Two Bunk Beds
Fourth Bedroom – Queen bed
Fith Bedroom - Queen Bed
Bathroom - Shower and bath
Toilet - Separate from the bathroom
Lounge - The lounge/dining area has a 50” SMART TV (free to air) you can hotspot your mobile wifi to the TV for access to your subsciption services such as Netflix etc . PLEASE NOTE THE WEATHER CAN AFFECT THE FREE TO AIR TV SIGNAL SO IT IS NOT ALWAYS GUARANTEED. There is NO DVD player at the house or Wifi so if you wish to bring along a USB stick for movies there is a USB port on the TV you can connect to.
Kitchen and Dining - The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove/oven, an electric fridge/freezer. All utensils are supplied – pots, pans, crockery, and cutlery. A highchair is also available to use.
There are ceiling fans and insect screens throughout the house. The deck upstairs has a lockable gate. The house runs off Gas for the hot water and cooking this can run out unexpectedly at times, please notify us asap and we will get someone to change over the gas bottle as soon as possible.
Outside: There is an outdoor shower that runs both hot and cold water for rinsing off sand after a day swimming at the beach or lakes and there is also a foot wash for rinsing off your feet. Please be mindful of water usage.
Sit back and relax on the undercover deck upstairs at the table at the front of the house or downstairs at the table under the entertainment area by the gas BBQ.
What to bring with you: NO LINEN IS SUPPLIED you will need to bring these with you! As much as we would love to supply these for your stay we simply cannot offer this as the time. Linen can however be hired locally if requested in advance and available. You will need to bring your own bed linen (bottom sheets, doona cover & pillowcases), your towels, personal items, toilet rolls, garbage bags, matches/lighter, food, cooking oils, condiments and drinks. We do provide pillows, comforters and blankets for your stay, a toilet roll in each bathroom & a garbage bags for you. We provide dish washing liquid, chux and a scourer for the kitchen. There are bathmats for each bathroom and a tea towel for your use so no need to bring these.
Power: The house runs solely off SOLAR POWER with a backup generator, because of this there are to be NO toasters, hairdryers/straighteners, car fridges, rice cookers, air fryers, pie makers, etc anything with a heating element as these can NOT be used as they draw too much power and will trip the solar power to the property, we suggest you only use what is supplied. We do not have air conditioning or heating like most other houses on the island, these use too much power if this is a requirement a hotel would be best. We kindly ask that you please be mindful of power usage at all times, especially on cloudy days and we kindly ask that you turn all lights, fans, and plug sockets off such as phone chargers when they are not in use and when you are out for the day as these will draw down the power, also leaving lights on overnight will draw down the power bank and it may leave you without power until the backup kicks in.
Water: The house runs solely off tank water which is pumped up from the bore, the water is drinkable but not filtered if you prefer filtered water you may wish to bring along your own. At times water can run out as we are not the only house using this tank and water may need to be pumped if it runs out. Any issues please get in touch and we will get this organised asap. PLEASE DO NOT WASH CARS, there is a car wash at the back of the resort you can use.
Other things to be noted: All Rubbish needs to be disposed of when leaving and the property left clean and tidy.
There is NO WIFI and NO LINEN
THERE ARE NO BABY GATES.
Please note: The property may need to be accessed by the hosts or maintenance people during your stay when maintenance, solar, etc needs attention, you will usually be notified if this is the case.
Maximum number of guests must not exceed 14 people, if found to be more you will be evicted immediately with no refund!
Any damages found upon your check in needs to be reported to host within 24hrs of check in, if not known or notified by host about prior to check in.
Children to be supervised at all times, no climbing on the balcony. No swags or tents to be set up on property.
Absolutely no furniture to be moved around inside or taken outside without approval!
No earlier check-in before 2pm unless agreed prior with the owner. If an earlier check-in occurs without permission a charge of $80 will apply.
Keep noise to a minimum from 10pm for neighbouring residents. Absolutely No parties or loud music/noise, if you want to do this please take this down to the beach away from residents!
The adult who has made the booking will need to provide ID within 72hrs of the booking along with ID's front and back for all guests before the stay is confirmed by host.
Please note:*Critters such as: ants, spiders, mosquitos, moths, flies, and many other things are native to this area and it is typical *INSIDE or AROUND ALL homes* on the island to have an occasional sighting of any of these small creatures especially when doors are opening and closing. Please keep in mind you are booking a trip in Queensland with many wildlife around. We prepare for such with pest spray etc, but we give no refunds for seeing any of these creatures & want to prepare our guests for what to expect. Please respect nature & accept all that comes with it if booking here. ***Please do not book if this is an issue. We only want you to have a great time*** If there is ever an abundance of ants or other pests inside etc, you can notify us and we can send our handyman to spray for you.* You may also see Goannas, lizards, and a variety of birds. Please don’t feed them as they will hang around and the cockatoos will pick at the rails and destroy things when nobody is home.

Clarissa was very friendly, Photos of the house were accurate / recent, Location was great - nice and close to the shop & bakery. Great BBQ and patio area. Would 100% book here again!
The home was lovely and was great for what was require. We did have issue with the upstairs bathroom with the hot water cutting out whilst having showers. There was also sand in the upstairs corner bed and downstairs double bed.
We stayed with two other families and this was the perfect place. Having two bathrooms and two kitchens, along with five bedrooms and plenty of space for the kids to sleep it worked out really well. The kids also loved the rope swing out the front and exploring the small sand hills close by. Central to most of the islands main attractions we had a great time exploring Fraser and was a great place to come back too! Great holiday location
We have just finished an excellent week in this great property. The property was clean, tidy and exactly as described and was fantastic for our family group of 8. The young adults had their own space in the self contained area upstairs, while we also had plenty of space downstairs with the younger kids. The outdoor BBQ area made it super easy to get the meals sorted for everyone. The communication from the host was clear and quick. Would 100% recommend this property.
