Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
*Leave the cottage the way you found it, clean and orderly
*Take food and drink you brought with you; ensure nothing perishable is left behind
* Clean and put away all dishes, dishwasher pods provided
*Leave used beds unmade
*Empty your garbage and put in the outdoor shed (garbage/black bags/black bin, compost/green bin, recycling/blue bins
*Leave the front courtyard, lakefront, and boathouse tidy
*Clean BBQ grill if you have used it, turn off gas, cover
*Replace water gear in boathouse; cover courtyard lounge set if rain is coming
*Turn down heat, A/C, fireplace, close and lock all windows
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

We are the Bickle sisters, and this cottage has been in our family since the 1950s. It’s always been our happy place—filled with love, laughter, and lakeside memories. We feel lucky to share it with you and hope it brings you the same sense of peace and joy.

The Bickle Cottage is situated on Lake Scugog, nestled in the quaint village of Caesarea. It’s a peaceful, no-frills kind of place—rooted in tradition and simple pleasures. There’s an authentic, small-town feel here that makes it easy to slow down and enjoy the moment. Just a short drive away, Port Perry offers all the shops, cafes, and conveniences you might need—perfect for a cozy lakeside getaway with the best of both worlds.
What makes this property unique
The Bickle Cottage isn’t just a rental—it’s a family retreat that’s been loved for generations. With its lakefront views, cozy charm, and peaceful setting, it offers a true escape from the everyday. What makes it special is the feeling: it’s unpretentious, welcoming, and full of little personal touches that make guests feel right at home. We have a private dock and bonus boathouse access in the warm weather. We are only 22.8 kms from the Great Blue Heron Casino and only 16.5 kms to beautiful shops and restaurants in historic downtown Port Perry.
