About this property

Relaxing and Private, Steps to White Sand Goose Rocks Beach

Welcome to our fully furnished sanctuary we jokingly call 'nutty pine' due to the pine that runs throughout the home. Our colorful escape pod is an 6-7 minute walk to GRB and a short bike ride or drive to the classic New England vacation town of Kennebunkport. The house is set on a half acre, 500 yards from the beach and benefits from trees and privacy yet you still hear the waves at night. Highlights include a cozy open layout kitchen updated in 2018 and dining area, a peaceful screened-in 3 season porch with a second dining area, and a private enclosed outdoor shower that I can't recommend higher to make you feel like you have really gotten away.

The beds are comfortable and there are options: traditional mattresses (upstairs) or memory foam (master) depending on your preference. The kitchen has new induction stove and everything you need however many prefer to use the grill on the back porch to cook while overlooking our mature native apple tree. The grassy private yard is perfect for lawn games -- Bocce is our favorite.

Stay out of the car and bring the bikes! This area has some great riding and weekend mornings are for bikers. Earth (great restaurant) at Hidden Pond is a 6 minute ride. Among other activities you can SUP (stand up paddleboard) at GRB... there is a great paddle to Timber Island for an adventure. Surfing can be found (swell permitting) up the road at Fortunes Rock Beach. Bikes and gear can be stored in our shed next to the house.

Providing you with a great vacation is our main concern, second only to caring for the property and surrounding flora (and neighbors). We are interested in developing a relationship with responsible mature renters who can appreciate a low environmental impact vacation in this serene setting.

If your vacation abuts a long weekend and no one is using the property we'd be happy to extending your stay.

We love vacationing here and always come home feeling rested and peaceful.

Hi, We are Deb (allergic to photos), Jason and Samantha. We have traveled extensively in Central America, Europe and the Middle East. We value family and friends, working hard and playing hard, and are always looking to build relationships with interesting people. We are good friends with our neighbors at home and on vacation!

Why they chose this property

When we set out to find a 'beach house in the woods' our realtor chuckled. However that is what we have found and would like to share with you. The house is comfortable, gets a nice breeze, is private and there is nothing better than listening to the tide from your bed at night.

We fell in the love with the house and property when we first laid eyes on it. Since then we have loved spending time there during all 4 seasons. Fall colors in Maine are gorgeous and the weather is great for bike riding or jogging. Surfers like Jason also have a great time this season. Winter is serene and cozy and we love bundling up and walking on the beach when it's quiet. The Christmas decorations and activities in the village of Kennebunkport are incredible. In spring, we enjoy spending time outside, grilling and eating on the porch, and in summer, well, summer is what it is alllllll about.

What makes this property unique

Walking distance to the beach. As one of the older houses on the street, it is on a prime parcel with a fabulous mature apple tree in the yard. You are invited to pick your own apples in late summer and fall! There is a shed to keep bikes and gear out of the rain. We have a beach cart for guests to use to and from the beach. There is a gas grill on the back porch and lawn games (corn-toss and bacci) to play while the burgers get done. If the bugs start to bug you there is a screened in porch that still counts as outdoor time!
