The 2 Wee Cottages are located in one of the oldest neighborhoods in Fredericksburg, Texas in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. Giant Pecan trees are the backdrop for two independent guest cottages that offer seclusion, serenity and a wonderful haven to relax, refresh and enjoy a much-needed respite from hectic lives. Each cottage has all of the comforts of home plus a wonderful screened in porch on each cottage complete with a private hot tub. With the new addition of the shared plunge pool, 2 Wee Cottages is the perfect place for a peaceful couple's retreat!

Granny Hein House
LOCATION - 7 blocks north of Main on a quiet street in the Historic District
HOSTS - Your host lives on the property in her own home, but guarantees complete privacy. She is available for you if needed. Also, in addition to your cottage, there is another cottage on the property that is a short distance from yours but each cottage has its own private entrance.
SLEEPS - 2 people in a king bed.
BATH - Private bath with a shower.
KITCHEN - Full kitchen with a regular coffeemaker, no dishwasher.
BREAKFAST - No breakfast. Coffee and tea provided.
AMENITIES - Cable TV, WiFi, private screened in porch with private hot tub, pool (shared with both cottages), charcoal grill (charcoal provided), pond with fish, fountains, shared chimenea, private off-street parking, short distance to shopping, restaurants and wineries, 55” flat screen TV, private front porch

Private Oasis In The Heart Of Fredericksburg!

We loved our stay at Hein House & hope to book again soon. The pool and hot tub were the cherry on top! Wish there were a few more amenities like bathroom toiletries or pastries or wine from the local places.

Great quiet neighborhood close to Main Street. Very private accommodations. We normally stay in our 5th wheel, but this was a last minute get away. Our first stay in a VRBO and would stay again. Hot tub added bonus to relax in at the end of the day.

We had a great stay and Judy was amazing! The pool was clean and perfect for relaxing. The hot tub was also just right. Some renters might not like being so close to the owners house but we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It was easy to communicate any thoughts or needs that might come up.

Lovey Stay

We had a lovely stay at the cottage. The place was clean and close to Maine Street. It may be too far to walk for some but staying during the weekday left for plenty of parking spots on Maine Street. The owner left wine glasses and a wine opener which came in handy, as well as towels for the pool. We’d definitely recommend this cottage and will stay again.

Excellent Memorial Weekend

Me and my Girl friend just stayed here and it was so relaxing!!! It was our first time to Fredericksburg and the town was perfect! Tons of shopping and food to choose from! Our first day we ate local and did some wine tastings to end the night with a relaxing hot tub at the granny’s house it was so relaxing and peaceful & romantic!!! We kicked off the next day with some shopping and then enjoy the residents amazing pool!!! “Granny’s House” was perfect little & clean!!! It has everything you need for a get away of relaxation! A+++

The place was fine and easy to get to and get in but once there, we left. We could not get the hot water going well at all. The hot tub was gross and things were floating all in it ajd this was thr draw to stay there. We did not stay. We left and loat a lot of over it

Pros and cons

Great location, close to everything. Pools hrs are 10am-8pm which doesn't really give timee in The summer to enjoy unless you wanna fry in the sun. NEST a/c control diffcult to change, we spent both evening uncomfortable until almost 11pm before we could get cottage to cool off. Dvd/vhs is HDMI 2 not 3 Hot tub was wonderful. Chech-in and out was very simple and convenient.

Odor in house

The property is as described. However, there was an extremely strong odor that was intolerable. We tried to air out the house by opening the doors. The windows would not open. The smell was so bad, we decided it was not healthy to remain in the house. We packed up our belongings and left before daylight the first morning, even though we had paid for three nights. We do not know the cause of the odor. The house should not have been listed for rent with that odor, as the odor is a health concern. And no, the odor was not the cleaners spraying air freshener.
