The Blue Coconut - Meredith Lodging

Located in Rhododendron, this home quietly sits at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac surrounded by two creeks. Just as you enter the home you will cross a footbridge over a seasonal creek. You’ll step into the light filled great room with a warm and inviting rock fireplace. The back deck over looks Hackett Creek and the wood burning creek side fire pit.

This cabin is the perfect blend of Mt Hood coziness with modern updates throughout. The vaulted great room with spacious kitchen, gas fireplace and 6-seat dining table is ideal for gathering together for meals, playing games, watching TV or listening to the Victrola record player. There are plenty of windows with southern exposure that bring in lots of natural sunlight. The garage also doubles as a game room with a shuffle board and foosball table. This 3-bedroom cabin is perfect for a family vacation.

This one level home offers three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The primary suite offers access to the back deck near the brand new hot tub. The en suite bathroom has a walk in shower with a towel warmer. The two additional bedrooms are located on the opposite side of the home. The queen bedroom has views of Hackett Creek. The bunk room will be a great escape for the kids in the group. The 2nd bathroom is located in the hallway between the two bedrooms.

Step out to the creek facing back porch for a BBQ and dine at the patio table while the creek babbles on by. You will want to soak in the private hot tub with creek views after your day’s adventure, or roast marshmallows and tell tall tales around the fire pit after a day of fun playing at Mt Hood. Your dog is welcome to join you at the Blue Coconut.

Enjoyed three nights with my son and his family! Beautiful, well-appointed home and very comfortable. Perfect bedroom setup for us, with grandkids ages 8 and 4 year old twins. Overall great experience. Very clean property. Definately a rental managed by an agency so more rules and fees than family home sharing. I love staying in Rhododendron and will stay in this home again! For those that care, I felt like the hot tub was more private than other homes I've rented which was a huge plus!

Great Quiet Escape

Blue Coconut was a great spot for our get away weekend. Unknkowingly tucked away this home was perfect to enjoy the small creek out back, spacious deck and amazing hot tub where we enjoyed soaking while taking in the thunderstorm. The home amenities were plentiful - games, needed items in the kitchen, a great room perfect for hanging out all within a well decorated and taken care of home.... We will totally be back!

Our Stay

The house was beautiful and very relaxing. The only issues we had were the garbage disposal did not work but the management company had someone out the next day. The oven display lights would work intermittently and we also notified the management company about that and it was not fixed. Not that big a deal if you are not wanting to use the oven but it made meal preparation a bit harder. Other than those two issues this was a lovely home and I would definitely book it again.

Perfect Weekend Hideaway

We were looking to explore an area of our state that we don't visit often when we found this gem! We had ourselves, 2 of our children & their spouses as well as 2 young grandchildren & our 2 dogs. We were all traveling from different areas of the state, so carpooling was not an option. We were concerned about the parking, but were very happy when the management company did some digging & found us a very suitable arrangement. Unfortunately our daughter & her family were unable to join us at the last minute, but the home & grounds were more than large enough to accomodate all 8 of us had we all been there. We had a couple hiccups when we arrived, but the management company tended to those immediately. They even sent someone out to pick up a mess someone previously left outside. The management company was very attentive & had great communication! The home itself is beautiful & in any amazing location. The touches to detail were outstanding, down to all the pet supplies they had out for our fur babies! Kitchen was well stocked, there were games galore, we all enjoyed sitting around playing board games & listening to the record player. The hot tub & fire pit were well used during our trip as well. The mattresses were so comfy, we snuck a peak of what they were so we could order one for our own home. We will definitely be back to visit with our whole family.
