These two homes were built in the early 1900's directly facing the original lighthouse with the neighboring beacon light flashing through the windows as if to guide and welcome you home! Sitting proudly across from Lakeview Beach with its magnificent view of Lake Erie sunsets! Additionally, enjoy view of the historic lighthouse fondly known as the "Jewel of the Port", its companion beacon, original fountain and its evening colored water displays and be sure to stroll through the historic rose garden, as well as visit the newly reconstructed beach bathhouse that sits on the original foundation remaining from the tornado of 1924. And, of course, don't miss the opportunity to relish a cup of java as your toes meet the sand and the waves at Lakeview Beach! Ms. Kucirek acquired the original property in 2003 after failing in love with the open airiness of the surrounding parks and magnificent full beach view. She has been happy to share the home and realize her dream of opening a B&B at Lakeview Beach. Subsequently she acquired the adjacent home, A Beach Cottage, and is excited to continue to provide a home away from home to groups both big and small, now with the transition of the Beacon B&B. Reserve now! We are a proud sponsor of Firefish /Follow the Fish Arts and Adventure Trails, Lorain County.

The old house was perfect for the two of us—clean, quiet, safe neighborhood and scenic lake view and park. Gave us close proximity to Cleveland and Cuyahoga National Park. Great local restaurants. Responsive and friendly host.
The house was just as described. The owner was transparent about a couple things that could have been a snag, but we didn’t need a washing machine or a couch in the living room. The view of the lake was beautiful!
This was a great house to stay in while we attended the FanExpo in Cleveland. So nice to have a whole house for much less than the city rates! Beds were comfortable and the house had everything we needed
This was the best stay ever.. the home was beautiful and definitely was easy to get too for my niece’s wedding. I loved the view of the lake☺️☺️. The whole experience was great
The house was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The host was quick to reply when needed. The beach was tiny, tiny pebbles, not sand. Lots of chairs to sit in and watch the lake and listen to them crashing into the break walls. It was rough when we were there so we did not swim. The backyard was a little confusing on figuring out what part belonged to this house. There is a garage or storage building directly behind the house but we had a great view from the kitchen table looking out. There was a lot to do in the area. We had a good time.
This house, with its four bedrooms, was perfect for my 10 person family attending a celebration of life! Across the street from Lakeview Park, we basked in the lake view and easy access to daily walks along the boardwalk. It was a December stay so we didn’t need any of the beach towels!?
The house was wonderful. It was like stepping back in time and we all felt immediately relaxed.
The house was wonderful. The ample space provided places to gather as well as places for quiet time. Our family was attending our sons wedding and the house provided a great location to the event and some extra fun memory making time.
Perfect for our family to hang out and relax between Oberlin graduation activities. Beautiful location with a view of the lake from the kitchen/dining room table. Cozy and comfortable.
Our family group of five adults found the beds comfortable and the dining and kitchen space great for sharing meals. We enjoyed daily walks and runs along the lake and the neighborhood. Kelly was easy to communicate with and a responsive host.
We stayed for a few days for my daughter's birthday. We all had a blast. The home was lovely, and tastefully decorated. It was very close to the lake and we enjoyed seeing the lake from the dining room table as we ate our meals. Our host was very nice and considerate of our circumstances. Would like to book another trip in the fall, and would definitely love to stay here again!
We had a group of 9 and there was plenty of room for all of us. The house while a bit on the older side was clean and decorated nicely. Beds were all comfortable. No complaints at all and we would happily stay again.
We really enjoyed our time at the rental, we spent most of our time on the front deck watching the world go by.. the house was very clean and was a great space for the 4 of us. The location was great - we went to the rock and roll hall of fame in Cleveland and the drag races in Norwalk. I would recommend staying at this rental anytime .

We knew that the house was under construction so we were not disappointed. The location is super! Once the laundry is complete, all appliances fully functional and the water pressure problems fixed all should be well. We enjoyed our time there!

Thank you for staying with us this first season, Joyce. I was happy to make it available so families such as yours could enjoy the fabulous summer location. Since we became fully booked this past summer, we had to put the renovations on hold. We look forward to your return upon are Grand Opening in 2013 once renovations are complete!

First: know that this is an older home. With the character come some quirks, and some cracks that some may not like. But the setting is great, the kitchen is remodeled and well appointed, the host was helpful and cooperative
This property has room for a large family, can sleep 10 in the 5 separate bedrooms. It is located near many fun events including the beach across the road, Cuyahoga Valley National Park for hiking, and Lake Erie Crushers baseball only 15 minutes away!
Kelly was prompt in replying to messages and helpful in answering questions.
Over all a good place to stay, the location of this home is very good. The property needed bushes trimmed, grass cut, front porch could have been cleaned a little. Inside was clean but again a little maintenance - light switch missing, blinds broken, but most was in good working condition.
The house was clean and spacious and a quick walk across the street to the beach. There is also a big park right next door with a cool playground and tennis courts. The house could use a refresh on some kitchen supplies (mainly some mixing bowls) and didn't have any cleaning spray for the counters and it would be nice to have it's own grill as it currently has one that is shared with the house next door which would be awkward if you wanted to grill at the same time. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
Our family of 10 stayed at this property this past week, and loved our time here! The location is one of the best features. A beautiful and well kept park is situated across the street, in front of the sandy beach. The neighborhood park across the side street was a great amenity. Baseball diamonds for kickball, tennis and pickleball courts kept us active. Beach volleyball was also a hit. The charming downtown in Vermilion is only 15 min to the west. A Guardians baseball game was 30 min east. My husband took advantage of the Black River bike trail and rode to his heart's content.
The beds were all comfortable, and the house was clean. Kelly was wonderful to work with. She was attentive to our needs (extra tp and grabage bags). We would definitely consider returning in the future!
The clear einner of this home is the 4 minute walk to the beach, you cant beat that! This house has that old cozy charm, but with old charm comes the need for updates as well. With some attention, updates and TLC this vrbo home could be a gold mine! It is very clean, the host is very helpful and friendly, as well! The beds were all comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. But we do not recommend you rely on the "included grill" for dinners, it is shared with the neighboring house and is also in very bad shape. There is enough seating at the table and in the living room for about 6, so id say the home is comfortable for 6, but may be harder for 7+. The home is in Lorain which is a cute town that is in the middle of being updated, its very close to Vermillion as well which is an adorable tourist town on the lake! The beach that is directly across from this home is beautiful and very well kept. We spent a lot of time there!
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again!
The house is across a street and a park from the beach that has permanent signs no swimming. It’s not as close at it seems. The house has a lot of quirky things like two inch steps separating the kitchen and dining area, holes in the wall filled with toilet paper, and a bathtub without a plug that when using the shower leaked into the kitchen the floor below. The lighting is complicated to figure out and there needs to be fans in the third floor. But the owner was fast to reply and said the leaking is an occasional problem but on their list for future renovations. It would be nice to have more than half a roll of paper towels provided and more than two trash bags and more than two dishwasher pods. But we used them all and had to buy more to get by. The sheets were really soft, the pillows and beds were in great shape. The Roku on most of the TVs were really nice too. Overall we did enjoy our stay just a few quirky things.

I no longer normally respond to online comments, but I will elect to do so this time so future guests know they certainly can swim when they visit during the summer months. So here goes:
Good morning, I had a chance to read your review and I just wanted to clarify something of importance: the beach does have some dangerous areas with signage that it is closed for swimming. However, it is only April, and on Memorial Day they section off the safe swimming area and have Life rings and/ or lifeguard chairs set up for the summer season. You did mention that I was quick to respond to the one issue and I also responded within 2 minutes when you asked which cupboard had cookie sheets. I wish you would have reached out regarding the concern over those signs as well as needing more dishwasher tablets and garbage bags. We attempt to stock according to the group size and amount of nights. We thought the couple extra along with those already freshly lining the cans would be sufficient for a family of 5 for 3 nights But I'm always happy to run extra items over as needed!
I do appreciate the condition with which you left the home and if you choose to return, I wanted to make sure I updated you on those points so that you could gain fuller enjoyment from your next stay!
