Wonderful cabin with everything you could ever need to cook for a week. Very clean, and well maintained. Host even offered early check in. Highly recommend this cabin for some peace and quiet. You won’t be alone.
Peaceful, quiet property in the woods. You are surrounded by trees which makes it feel like an oasis. Wonderful screen porch. Close to parks. A beautiful stay!
The cabin is absolutely lovely and had everything we needed. We spent a lot of time outside and in hammocks, thanks to ample outdoor space. It was so peaceful to be there - just what we needed for respite from the business of DC. We went hiking nearby in Lost River State Park, and had great pizza at Lost and Found Pizza. We will definitely be returning.
Place was just as described. It was very relaxing and peaceful. Loved the covered and screened porch options for dining outdoors and relaxing in a hammock, swing or comfy patio furniture. It was close to Lost River State Park as well as lunch spots, some shopping or picking up things we needed. Would definitely return for another stay.

Lovely stay!
We had such a fun, peaceful visit at this cabin. It's the perfect place to unwind, and also day trip distance to a lot of cool stuff. Highly recommend.
The cabin was peaceful, there was plenty of firewood and i loved the enclosed porches. I spent a lot of time just relaxing and reading without getting eatene by bugs! My only complaint isbthe outside lights didn't work.
My wife and I have stayed here before and we love this place. The host are very efficient thorough and open and their property is amazing. We will continue as long as we live in the DMV area to visit their place at least once a year if you need peace and quiet to get away from the hustle and bustle of the DC Metropolitan area, this is a place for you thank you very much
We recently stayed at this cabin near Lost River and overall had a cozy experience. The cabin is very well stocked with everyday cookware, games, and basic toiletries, which made settling in easy and comfortable. The gas fireplaces were a highlight. That said, we did run into a couple of challenges. When we arrived, the driveway had not been plowed. Because it’s quite steep and the snow was deep, and ice covered, we got stuck halfway up and had to leave our car partway down the driveway. We also weren’t able to find a shovel on site to dig ourselves out.Additionally, we lost power while cooking dinner on our last night, and it remained out into the next morning. There were no notes from the hosts indicating that outages are common in the area, but future guests may want to come prepared with flashlights just in case.

Nice secluded cabin in the woods. Very well appointed cabin and kitchen. Loved the screened-in porch and the constant parade of birds coming to and from the feeders.

Fabulous cabin retreat
We loved staying at the cabin for a long weekend retreat from city life. It is very well equipped with more than everything you could need/want! The location is gorgeous and quiet. Near the lost River state park and in an area that is fantastic for hiking and road cycling! We had our bikes and loved the entire area! Highly recommend this beautiful cabin as a fantastic relaxing destination full of options for outdoor recreation!
Home has everything you need: well appointed kitchen, beautiful scenery, and dog friendly. Favorite place was the screened in porch. We brought our own food and liquor. Which was a good thing- no grocery stores near by.
If you want to get away with few interruptions, this is your place.

Wonderful, cozy cabin
This cabin is perfect! The main floor is well decorated and comfortable. The kitchen has nice appliances and is well stocked with coffee, spices etc. The two double beds are very comfortable. We especially loved all the outdoor porch space, with sofas, hammocks, rocking chairs and lots of different areas. We hope to come back and explore more! Recommend hiking in Lost River State Park and eating dinner at Guesthouse. Also stop in Wardensville on the way at the farm market and general store!
We enjoyed our stay. The home is lovely on the inside with a wonderfully stocked kitchen and very comfortable living room. Nice thoughtful touches like a welcome basket with snacks was much appreciated. It was very relaxing. We enjoyed the porch and the peaceful, private location. Don’t be fooled by the rustic outside - once you get inside the laid back stress-free vibe will take over and you’ll love being there. The bedrooms were nice - the bed in the smaller of the two has a very soft mattress and a smaller sized bathroom but we didn’t mind and it served our needs well. I would definitely stay here again.
Overall great stay and a beautiful place, open floor plan is welcoming, surrounded by beautiful George Washington National Park. The screened in porches are wonderfully setup with accomindating seating and several hammocks for lounging. Only downsides are there is no cell service around cabin by At&t or Verizon for a a 15 minute driving radius and the AC only cools the upstairs on really hot days. However the strong wifi does compensate in other forms of communication. Highly recommend for a get away.
The kitchen was fully stocked, the bathrooms were clean. Soap and lotion at all three bathrooms. Body wash, shampoo, and conditioner in both bathrooms. Soft towels. The house was very clean. The enclosed porches were wonderful especially since a few days were cool and rainy. There were hammocks to sit in, outdoor table to eat at, furniture to curl up in with a blanket and relax. We had a terrific time and really enjouyed the quiet. I higly recommend this house.
We wanted fall color, mountains, bonfire, log cabin and fun and this place was all of the above and more. They gave us free snacks upon arrival and treats for our dog. Their kitchen had everything you could need except a Keurig coffee maker. Their WiFi was amazing which is great because cell phones don’t work there. The outside could use a little trimming and landscaping but it truly is a wonderful place to get that fall feeling going on. The two mattresses have plastic covers on them that are noisy and not overly comfortable but we made it work. Their water pressure is wonderful!!! Their heat is great. I can’t say enough positives about this place. Getting to it during the winter may be tough if there is snow or ice. Their grill was very nice too.
What a wonderful, and relaxing place to stay. We went for Thanksgiving (arriving on the holiday) and late at night. The place was well lit for us, especially since we were arriving later in the evening! We brought almost everything with us, but were able to use a couple of spices that we couldn't find back home. Enjoyed the TV and nice warm and homey cabin. Took us a bit to get the heat balanced as it was a little chilly when we walked in and we started the gas fire stoves up and it warmed it up quickly. It was SUCH A FANTASTIC PLACE. Had no troubles at all while we were there and even enjoyed the pizza restaurant that was suggested by owner. Very friendly and good food there. Couldn't have asked for a better get away. Driveway was very steep (as we were warned) and final road was not marked with its name, but the GPS directed us right to the cabin. Thank you for opening your home to us!
This property was down a long road with other properties nearby. However, the woods in between the properties meant that we never saw or heard anyone else. The driveway is VERY STEEP so be careful!
This was a great place to hunker down for three days. We shopped for groceries beforehand and never left. Everything was comfortable and appeared as described as shown in the listing. The screen porch just off the kitchen.living room was our favorite place to hang out and read or play games. We did laundry and used the propane grill - both worked great!
We had a little scare with a rather large spider and a little mouse, but we were able to take care of them ourselves. (My husband enjoyed the hammock and I think he left a door open that let the critters in.)
We enjoyed perfect weather and noticed the leaves changing color a bit while we were there.
Would definitely recommend this property to others!
