About this property
Cozy Lakeside Living
Wake up to the sounds of nature and serene views from every bedroom. Or if you prefer, you'll also find Muskoka chairs at the dock, perfect for quietly sitting and sipping your coffee as you take in the morning views.
This lake is great for swimming, fishing/ice fishing, and other water sports, and we have provided a canoe, 2 kayaks, a paddle board and a large floating water pad for your enjoyment. And because Fourteen Island Lake has no public boat access and only a small amount of cottages lining its shores, the water is crystal clean and clear.
Our lake house offers 1300 sqft. of bright open living space. The kitchen has all basic amenities, as well as a 10ft island for ample workspace, and a farmhouse table that seats 10. Enjoy making and sharing your meals while overlooking the lake via the patio slider.
Two of the bedrooms offer a queen bed and the third offers two sets of bunks, all sturdy enough and comfortable for adults.
No need to fear rainy days as we have a variety of books, games, and puzzles, perfect for adults and kids alike. You'll also find a smart television with loads of DVD's and access to Netflix as well as other streaming apps, and a Wii gaming system to keep you entertained.
Starlink Wifi is available to keep you connected.
Air conditioning is not available but a quick dip in the lake and fans in every bedroom will keep you cool and comfortable.
Nearby Activities:
*Walk, bike, snowmobile, ATV and cross country skiing: we are a 10 min drive from the K&P trail
*Hike backwoods trails, kayak, swim, canoe, and bird watch at South Frontenac Provincial Park, 5 minutes away.
*Golf: Riverdell Golf Course is an 18 hole course, and just a 5 minute drive away.
*Star Gaze: North Frontenac Dark Sky Preserve is just an hour drive north and has excellent star viewing. There is also excellent star gazing right outside the cottage doors and from the sky lights in the two main bedrooms.
*Stock up on necessities: You'll find grocery, beer, and hardware stores, as well as a gas station in Verona - just 5 min away. Or if you prefer the amenities a larger city has to offer, Kingston is just a 30 min drive south.
*Looking for more adventure? There is no shortage of things to do and see in Kingston. Check out their tourism webpage.

About the host
Hosted by Laura Wehrle

We are a family of 4 that live in New Hamburg Ontario. Having a cottage has always been a family dream. We wanted a place that we could make lifelong memories with our children Poppy and August, and hopefully one day, their children as well.
Why they chose this property
We found this property in 2021 and fell in love with it immediatly. We have put our heart and soul into building this cottage. My husband Corey designed the cottage to be simple, open and bright with lots of large windows so there is a great lake view from every room. We want this to be a space where everyone can feel comfortable and peaceful.
