GreatvLocation

My dog and I loved the big back yard and easy access to my square stern canoe and motor I kept on the sandy beach while not fishing. We were able to just walk the 0.21 miles to the Bald Mountain trailhead which we went to everyday. My only complaint was there was only one blanket I could find for the queen bed I chose on the north side cabin I stayed in. The nights got down to 34-38 degrees, but the gas heater was capable of heating the place well enough.

Great week at LuckyStyrk on Mooselookmeguntic Lake!

Couldn't imagine a better getaway for our 3-generation family and our Newfoundland pup “Moby”! From the rustic cabins, front porches with gorgeous views of the sloping yard down to the lakefront and private sandy beach, as well as close proximity to Bald Mountain hiking trail, it fully met our expectations. Also, very “boat” and “swim” friendly!

The two camps look as if they are connected, but only on the outside, each has own entry, kitchen and bathroom. We have 2 boys late teens-it was perfect for each of us to have our own privacy yet be together as a family. Super nice beach, (which is rare on Mooselook) and people super kind and friendly. Pet friendly as well-our pup loved jumping from the dock! Folks showed up early to install mooring which was terrific! I would stay again! Thanks everyone!

Mixed feelings

I'd give the land/water access a 5. The private beach, solo stove and mooring were amazing. The cabins on the other hand were a big disappointment. I wish there was a dishwasher and only one of the microwaves worked properly. I think it should have been written in bold that the water is not drinkable. Lastly, and of most concern, my 5 year old son's leg was bit multiple times while in bed. I'm not sure if he was bitten by bedbugs or flees. For the amount of money we paid per night, I expected decent mattresses rid of pests.
